Palhalan, June 20 : In a collaborative effort aimed at saving lives and promoting a culture of voluntary blood donation with GMC Baramulla and Maqbool Memorial Hospital (MM Hospital) Palhalan to organize a blood donation camp at MM Hospital Palhalan.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response from donors, with 50 blood units collected during the camp. The initiative brought together a diverse group of participants, including journalists, social workers, healthcare employees, and individuals from the local community who donated blood to support the noble cause.
Notable figures, including SDM Pattan Syed Faheem, Rakesh ji IAS,SDPO Pattan Nawaz Khanday, Ashfaq Tantray MD MM Hospital and KNS Chief Editor M Aslam Bhat, actively participated as blood donors, setting an example of community engagement and solidarity.
The contribution of Bilkees Ara, who donated her 32nd blood unit, deserves special mention for her remarkable commitment to saving lives through regular blood donations.
During the camp, Tehsildar Pattan Sakib Murtaza KAS felicitated Shabir Khan, the blood manman of Kashmir, and other organizers and media persons for their exceptional efforts in facilitating the blood donation process.
