‘Gadar 2’ crosses Rs 250 crore mark at box office

MUMBAI : According to the producers, “Gadar 2,” starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, made Rs 32.37 crore on its sixth day of release, bringing its total domestic box office profits to Rs 261.35 crore. The movie, which was directed by Anil Sharma, is a follow-up to the popular 2001 film “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.” The movie, a creation of Zed Studios, debuted on August 11 in theatres.On Wednesday, Sharma posted the box office report to his X account. The filmmaker wrote in his post, “Mohabbatein jab milti hain.. aashirwad jab milta hai.. toh kamaal hota hai.. 6th day.. collection never before like this.. GOD is v kind.” The makers said on Tuesday that “Gadar 2’s” total box office receipts in the nation were Rs 228.98 crore. The sixth day’s earnings for the film were Rs 32.37 crore, bringing the total to Rs 261.35 crore. “Gadar 2,” which takes place in 1971, follows Tara Singh (Deol) as he travels to Pakistan to save his son Charanjeet Singh (Utkarsh Sharma) from the Pakistani Army. The Partition was shown in the first movie.
