New Delhi, Oct 13: Under “Operation Ajay,” a plane transporting the first group of Indians who were trapped in Israel due to the current conflict landed in New Delhi on Friday morning. At least 212 Indian people have landed at the Delhi airport from Israel. Rajeev Chandrasekhar, a minister for the Union, met them at the airport. Chandrasekhar hailed the reentering Indians with his hands folded. Then he started talking to the students. The federal minister informed the travellers that India is steadfast in its commitment to the security of every Indian. He stated that Prime Minister Modi is committed to defending them.No Indian will ever be abandoned by our administration. Our government, led by our prime minister, is committed to defending them and ensuring their safe return. We are grateful to EAM Dr. S. Jaishankar, the staff at the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Air India flight crew for making this possible and sending our kids back to their families securely and soundly, Chandrasekhar stated. When an Indian citizen returned from Israel, he or she said, “This is the first time we are dealing with this scenario there. For bringing us back, the Indian government is to be commended, especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi. So that we may get back to work as soon as possible, we’re hoping for peace as soon as feasible. On Thursday, the first group of Indian travellers took off from Tel Aviv for India as part of Operation Ajay. On this occasion, Sanjeev Singla, the Indian ambassador to Israel, stated that the Indian Embassy in Israel is striving to secure the safety of Indian citizens in the war-torn country of Israel and that the embassy will assist Indian citizens who want to return to India through “Operation Ajay.”“As I mentioned the day before, the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv has been making constant efforts to safeguard the welfare and safety of all of our Indian people in Israel. Operation Ajay, a programme to assist Indians who want to return to their country, was introduced by the external affairs minister yesterday. And the first flight is returning to India today as part of Operation Ajay,” he added. “We are working to ensure that we have a similar flight in the coming days,” he continued, “and it’s going to have almost 200 Indian citizens on board, including students, carers, and business professionals.”Tomorrow, we’ll only have one flight.I want to reach out to my fellow Indian citizens in this country and encourage them to keep their cool and follow the local safety recommendations in order to stay safe. A returning Indian citizen from Tel Aviv hailed the Indian government for helping during difficult times and claimed that “Operation Ajay” had been of great assistance. Arindam Bagchi, a spokesperson for the External Affairs Ministry, stated earlier on Thursday, “As indicated by EAM yesterday, Operation Ajay has been started to make it easier for our citizens who want to return from Israel to do so. The first chartered flight would likely depart from Tel Aviv tomorrow morning and arrive in India later tonight to take up the Indian people, according to the spokeswoman for the external affairs ministry.“We are closely monitoring the situation in Israel.” There haven’t been any Indian casualties thus far, according to the MEA spokesperson.So yet, no casualties have been reported, he said.“There are about 18,000 Indians in Israel. It is concerning that there is conflict going on. Indians are asked to heed the guidance provided by our mission, added Bagchi.Prime Minister Narendra Modi started “Operation Ajay” to return roughly 18,000 Indians who were living in Israel.
