Srinagar, Oct 4: On Wednesday, the first group of Agniveers from the Jammu and Kashmir valley enlisted in the Indian Army. The Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regiments (JAKLI) center in Srinagar hosted a passing out parade for the first batch of Agniveers on Tuesday, according to the army. The Srinagar Army Recruitment Office (ARO), which was present at the passing out parade, recruited the young Agniveers. The Agniveers’ parents also showed up for the ceremony.“On October 3, 2023, the JAKLI Regimental Center in Srinagar hosted the passing out parade for the first batch of enlistees from Kashmir who will join the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry Regiments of the Indian Army. The Army’s Chinar Corps, which is stationed in Srinagar, said on X that the young agnives recruited through ARO Srinagar graduated in a “grand ceremony” that was also attended by their proud parents.
