KATHUA, June 1: Devastating fire broke out at PHE filling store here at Parliwand today.
Nine tankers and a truck which were stationed there caught the fire. The cause of the fire is not known but it engulfed the vehicles parked in the Filling Station. As soon the PHE officials got information of the fire they immediately rang the fire brigade.Two fire tenders immediately rushed to site and dozed the fire after hard efforts. The Executive Engineer, Mechanical, K K Chopra, Executive Engineer, PHE AK Gupta, AEE Himanshyu Verma reached on the spot and supervised the whole operation to control the Fire. The vehicles stationed in the station suffered minor damage. The timely action prevented spreading of fire to nearby area.
The PHE Executive Engineer, Mechanical, K K Chopra said that these were unused vehicles stationed in the store. There is no loss of any other property of Department or loss of life..
