Bengaluru, Mar 15: Based on a complaint from the mother of a 17-year-old survivor, senior BJP leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has been booked under the POCSO Act, police announced here on Friday. The mother of the survivor claimed that on February 2, during a meeting, Yediyurappa, then 81, sexually abused her daughter. Police claim that the BJP heavyweight has been charged under Section 354 A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Yediyurappa and his family members did not respond to the allegation that was made against him at the Sadashivanagar police station.
