SRINAGAR, Jun 16: An encounter broke out between terrorists and joint parties of the Army and police in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir in the wee hours of Friday.
According to reports, the confrontation started after security forces received specific input that there were terrorists in the Jumagund region close to the LoC.
“Terrorists and a coalition of Army and police personnel are engaged in combat in the Kupwara district’s Jumagund sector of the Line of Control. Additional information will be provided, the Kashmir Zone Police said.
