New Delh, Feb 10:Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that no one can read the history of the country by ignoring the Ram Mandir movement and the dream of the grand temple at Ayodhya was fulfilled during the Modi government.
Participating in Lok Sabha on discussion on ‘Construction of historic Shri Ram Temple and Pran Pratishtha of Shri Ramlala’, Amit Shah said those who imagine a country without Lord Ram do not know the country well and they represent the days of colonialism. The Ram Mandir movement is too important to ignore while studying this nation’s history. Every generation since 1528 has witnessed this movement in one way or another. This issue was unresolved for a very long period. During the Modi administration, this dream had to come true,” he declared. Amit Shah mentioned the January 22 Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted the ceremonies and declared it to be a historic day. Following the completion of the “Pran Pratistha” rites, the idol of Ram Lalla was revealed.“The beginning of big India was January 22.Those who envision a nation without Lord Rama do not understand our nation and are reminiscent of the colonial era. For years to come, January 22 will be remembered as a historic day.All Ram devotees’ hopes and dreams were realised on that day, he declared. According to the Home Minister, the Ramayana is inextricably linked to Indian culture and is the foundation of customs and national consciousness across a wide range of languages and geographical areas.
