DODA: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid visits to the injured residents of the Doda district bus accident and admitted them to the Government Medical College located in Jammu. The injured people’s conditions were reported to the Lieutenant Governor. Upon meeting the medical team, he emphasised that every effort should be made to provide the best care possible. On Wednesday, a bus in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, fell into a gorge, resulting in up to 38 fatalities and 19 injuries. About 300 feet downhill, the bus carrying 55 people skidded off the Batote-Kishtwar national highway near Trungal-Assar.In addition, Sinha granted the kin of those who perished in the tragic bus accident an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh apiece. Additionally, he approved Rs. 1 lakh for the injured and promised the impacted families all possible help. He said in a tweet, “The next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to the unfortunate bus accident in Assar, Doda, would receive an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each.” The injured would receive Rs 1 lakh. The J&K UT Administration will help the impacted families as much as they can.”
