JAMMU: Div Com Jammu, Ramesh Kumar today chaired a meeting of Deputy Commissioners and NHAI authorities to review the progress of work on Delhi Katra Expressway project.Regional Officer for NHAI, Director of Geology and Mining, Project Directors for NHAI, DFO Social Forestry, and other pertinent personnel were present at the meeting, and Deputy Commissioners from Kathua, Samba, Jammu, and Reasi participated through video conference. As the Div Com questioned about the overall status of the road project, hurried debates on several crucial topics took place.The Division Committee also looked into the acquisition of land, the payment of compensation, and the issue of NOCs necessary by several departments for mining permissions. The Div Com instructed the DCs to address any land disputes and give NHAI unencumbered land so that work on the prestigious road project could proceed without interruption. He also instructed them to finish right away paying out the compensation for the land they had to buy for the project.Div Com urged NHAI officers to communicate often with the concerned Deputy Commissioners in order to address problems. They were ordered to speed up construction of the Delhi-Katra motorway so that it could be finished on schedule.
