JAMMU: Div Com, Jammu chaired a meeting with DCs and officers from Forest Department and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited to review the implementation of the Schedule Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers Act and pending land transfer cases for 4G saturation.While Deputy Commissioners provided information on the total number of locations/sites concerned and the status of land assignment to BSNL in their respective districts, the Div Com evaluated pending land transfer cases for the installation of 4G towers by BSNL for better connectivity. The Div Com noticed a discrepancy in the information supplied and instructed BSNL Officers to gather information after consulting with district administrations. To accelerate cases for early tower erection, Deputy Commissioners were given instructions.The Schedule Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers Act settlement claims received in the districts were also discussed by the Div Com. He gave DCs instructions to move cases along quickly and to achieve early resolution of all pending matters. The Chief Conservator of Forests, officers from BSNL and information technology, as well as the Deputy Commissioners of the Jammu division and other related officers, all attended the meeting.
