KATHUA: Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain on Monday attended the Passing out Parade (PoP) of the 30th BRTC at Sardar Prithinandan Singh Police Training School (PTS) in Kathua. The event was attended by various dignitaries including ADGPs MK Sinha, Garib Dass, Vijay Kumar, and Anand Jain, IGP PoS, PHQ, BS Tuti, DIG Training PHQ, Sarah Rizvi, DIG Armed Jammu, Nisha Nathyal, DC Kathua, Rakesh Minhas, SSP Kathua, AIGs of PHQ, along with other serving and retired police officers. Addressing the gathering, DGP Swain extended a warm welcome to the pass-outs into the J&K Police Parivar, congratulating them and their families on this significant milestone. He commended the dedication of Director SKPA, Udhampur Garib Dass, and Principal SPS PTS Kathua, Manjit Kour, for their unwavering commitment to training these police personnel. Acknowledging the efforts of the instructors, DGP Swain praised their tireless endeavors in honing the abilities and skills of the women police personnel. He also applauded the exemplary parade displayed by the pass-outs and witnessed demonstrations of commando drill and silent drill presented by the recruit women police personnel. DGP Swain further honored the best cadets of the batch with trophies and cash rewards. Principal SPS PTS Kathua, Manjit Kour, provided insights into the training imparted to the women constables, highlighting their educational and technical qualifications. Earlier, DGP Swain and other senior officers paid tribute to the fallen heroes of the J&K Police by laying wreaths at the martyrs’ memorial. Additionally, he inaugurated the Shaheed Manohar Lal Park and participated in a tree-planting initiative along with other senior police officers to commemorate the occasion
