New Delhi, Dec 14: Derek O’Brien, a member of the TMC, was suspended on Thursday for the remainder of the Winter Session from the Rajya Sabha due to his “misconduct” and “unruly behaviour” in the House. Following an initial adjournment, the House met at noon, and Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar called O’Brien forward, cautioning him against interfering with the proceedings and raising slogans in complete disobedience to the Chair’s instructions. O’Brien was called out by the Chairman earlier in the morning for his “unruly behaviour” and was asked to leave the House. Still, he stayed in the House. (Agencies)
