REASI: A thorough tour of the Shiv Khori area was led by District Development Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Mahajan, who is also the Vice Chairperson of the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board. The visit’s objective was to evaluate the ongoing construction projects and the construction of upscale tourist amenities in the vicinity of the shrine. The DDC talked about future initiatives planned to improve pilgrims’ experiences at the Holy Cave Shrine during the visit. He offered his respects at the Holy Shrine as well. The DDC examined the status of various projects in the shrine vicinity with other concerned personnel, paying special attention to the amenities for pilgrims.He then gave orders to construct a track that would be convenient for pilgrims and to upgrade public facilities. In addition, the DDC gave the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board Executive Officer instructions to build a permanent barrier that would run from the checkpoint to the shrine cave. It was also intended to construct a segregation shed on the walkway that leads to the shrine cave. Notably, the District Development Commissioner gave the pertinent departments explicit instructions to act decisively to prevent the use of single-use plastics in the area surrounding the shrine. With this direction, the path leading to the shrine and the surroundings around it will be kept clean and single-use plastics will be prohibited. Tehsildar Pouni Naresh Kumar, Executive Officer SSKSB Pardeep Kumar, and other relevant officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
