JAMMU: On Friday, the Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu’s Rogi Kalyan Samiti meeting was chaired by District Development Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya to examine the hospital’s operations. Dr. Vandan Dogra, the Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu’s medical superintendent and member secretary, was speaking on behalf of the RKS. This meeting was primarily held to evaluate the work of the Government Ayurvedic Hospital in Jammu. The Rogi Kalyan Samiti’s Governing Body proposed a number of important agenda items for approval. These included lowering the cost of many OPD operations, giving seniors and those living below the poverty line free or reduced-cost procedures and diagnostics, and authorising the yearly upkeep of devices, equipment, and small repairs that are required.Other topics covered in the conference included recruiting need-based workers for various maintenance jobs, purchasing laboratory and procedural consumables, and possibly designating the hospital as a delivery hub for government healthcare programmes. The discussion also covered solar panel installation and rainwater harvesting, with an emphasis on fortifying the infrastructure in the healthcare industry. Additional Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, Dy MS Dr. Aruna Bhat, Medical Officer Dr. Ramesh Chander, Executive Engineers Sansar Singh Katoch, Thakur Das, and Ramesh Sharma, as well as an NGO representative, were in attendance at the meeting.
