RAJOURI, May 13: In a significant move aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and ensuring rapid response to emerging situations, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma has issued strict instructions to all the Government employees to remain available for duty at all times and keep their mobile phones switched on round-the-clock.
The directive, issued amid heightened alertness in the region due to prevailing security concerns mandates that no Government employee shall leave the station or remain absent from duty without prior authorization. Any non-compliance with the order will attract disciplinary action under the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Rules, the order said.All officers and officials must remain reachable for official communication and be prepared for urgent assignments as and when required, the order reads/
The DC has further directed all district and sectoral heads to ensure strict monitoring of their subordinate staff and to maintain a close check on compliance. To reinforce accountability, the administration has warned that surprise inspections may be conducted at various offices and departments to verify the presence and availability of staff members. The order has come into immediate effect and will remain operative until further instructions.
This decisive administrative action comes in the wake of present situation that require seamless coordination among Government departments. It emphasized that the continued availability of Government personnel is vital to the uninterrupted delivery of public services emergency response and public safety management.
