JAMMU: Avny Lavasa DC Jammu, today convened a meeting of concerned officers here in DC Office complex to review the status of works under (JJM) Jal Jeevan Mission.The concerned officials gave the Chair an initial update on the number of completed and ongoing projects. It was disclosed that 733 tenders had been received for the 736 works under 272 projects, 680 had been assigned, and work had begun on 301 of these with 54 having been finished as of this writing. The DC emphasised the importance of exerting every effort to guarantee that the timeframe for providing tap water to every family is met.She explained that the JJM is intended to supply all of the families with safe and sufficient drinking water through individual household tap connections. The DC gave the relevant police instructions to pick up the pace in order to meet the goal within the allotted time. She further instructed the officers to continuously check the status and quality of all assigned tasks to ensure that they are completed within the specified time frame.In addition to making sure that the works are allocated before the deadlines, the DC instructed the concerned officials to speed up the tendering and evaluation processes after the competent authority has provided administrative approval and technical sanction.
