JAMMU: DC jammu, conducted an extensive tour today to review the preparations for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, SANJY-2023, at Mahajan Sabha, Ram Mandir and Geeta Bhawan Jammu.The Deputy Commissioner evaluated various aspects, including accommodations, security arrangements, public address systems, dustbin installations, uninterrupted power and water supply, cleanliness, sanitation, toilets, and medical facilities at registration counters. Sandeep Seointra, SP Jammu, Kuldeep Honda, Sanjay Kapoor, DIO (NIC), Nodal Officers, security personnel, and representatives from Jal Shakti, Power, and other pertinent departments were with him.The Deputy Commissioner inspected the issuance of RIFD cards and the registration procedure for Amarnath pilgrims during the visit. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the relevant authorities to make sure all yatra preparations are complete before the start of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, stressing the importance of timely completion. She also asked them to dispatch their field staff to ensure the pilgrims’ comfort and convenience. The Deputy Commissioner also gave orders to the nodal officers and senior officials in charge of making sure the yatra went off without a hitch regarding the provision of essential services in their respective jurisdictions.
