CRPF Chief Focuses On Security, Normalcy, Militancy Eradication In J&K

SRINAGAR, Jan 31: Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF, GP Singh on Saturday emphasized a renewed focus on ensuring robust security, sustaining normalcy, and achieving the complete elimination of militancy in Jammu and Kashmir.
The DG was chairing a high-level security review with Valley-based senior officials and ground commanders of CRPF. The meeting was held at the CRPF Group Centre (GC) Srinagar during Singh’s tour of Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said the DG CRPF was on a two-day visit to J&K and arrived in Srinagar on Friday and reviewed the operational preparedness of the force.
Taking stock of the security scenario in the Valley, he reaffirmed CRPF’s unwavering commitment to ensuring an incident-free environment and maintaining peace, particularly with regard to countering terrorist activities, officials said.
The DG also visited 44 Battalion CRPF where he interacted with personnel during a Sainik Sammelan and addressed their grievances.
In his address, the DG lauded the jawans for their steadfast commitment, professionalism, and dedicated service to the nation. Expressing confidence in the Force, he said the CRPF would continue to serve the country with zeal and valour.
