CRPF Barrack Damaged In Fire Incident In Srinagar

SRINAGAR, Jan 24: A fire broke out in a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Barrack in Srinagar causing damage to the bedding and clothes, officials said.
The Fire and Emergency Service officials said that fire broke out during the intervening night of Thursday and Friday in the CRPF barrack at the Indoor Stadium was brought under control with the prompt action by the fire fighters.
However, some bedding and clothes of the force men were damaged in the fire incident.
No one was injured in the incident.
Several fire fighting tenders were rushed to the spot from the various city centre stations to douse the leaping flames soon after the call was received, they said.
The cause of fire is stated to be due to the electric short circuit, they added.
