JAMMU, Jan 3: According to police, an accused criminal was taken into custody on Wednesday in the Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir under the strict Public Safety Act (PSA). According to a police spokesperson, Ashraf Ali, also known as “Shifu,” is a resident of Ramnagar who has grown to be a threat to public safety and tranquillity. As a result, the district magistrate has ordered his detention under the PSA. He claimed that Ali’s PSA file was prepared by Udhampur Senior Superintendent of Police Joginder Singh due to his ongoing involvement in theft, bootlegging, and the smuggling of cattle.
