New Delhi, Nov 29: On Wednesday, a couple’s fight resulted in the diversion of a Lufthansa flight from Munich to Bangkok to Delhi, where they were subsequently let off, according to official sources. The pilots of Lufthansa flight LH772 alerted the ATC about a “situation and possibly unruly passenger,” and at 10:26 am the aircraft touched down at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport. According to the sources, there was a disagreement between a German man and his Thai wife, which caused issues on the Lufthansa flight. As a result, the airline requested permission to land at IGI, which was granted. According to an official, the wife had initially protested to the pilot about her husband’s actions, claiming that he was “threaten[ing]” her, and she had asked for help.As the scenario develops, the pair is being questioned in the terminal area by CISF security officers, flight attendants, and other staff members after they disembarked from the aircraft. They said that the flight might take departure soon.
