CHHATTISGARH: Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on Monday that the Congress government’s demise in Chhattisgarh is “confirmed” following the first round of elections, thereby initiating the countdown to its departure. Speaking at an election rally in Mungeli, poll-bound Chhattisgarh, ahead of the second phase of voting on November 17, Prime Minister Modi declared that the misbehaviour of the Congress party was coming to an end. “The “bidai” countdown for the Congress has now started. It’s time to bid those Congress who have been plundering you for the past five years farewell. The state’s public is more excited about the ‘bidai’ that the state will send to Congress.Congress is no longer wanted by the people,” the prime minister declared. The chief minister of Chattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel, came under heavy fire from the prime minister, who accused him of widespread corruption. “A two and a half year term agreement for the Chief Minister’s position was in place when the Chhattisgarh Congress government was established. However, during the first 2.5 years, the Chief Minister committed so many crimes and stole so much that he amassed a sizable sum of money through theft.” In the event that the BJP government takes back control of the state, he promised action against the corrupt. “I’ve been informed by the media that the chief minister of Chhattisgarh is losing his assembly seat. After the BJP wins the state of Chhattisgarh, PM Modi promised to take action against corruption there.
