LUCKNOW: Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, stated on Saturday that the alliance between his party and the Congress is “off to a good start” because Uttar Pradesh has 11 “strong” Lok Sabha seats. Elections for the Lower House of Parliament, which the state sends 80 members to, are scheduled for April or May. “With 11 solid seats, our friendly partnership with the Congress is off to a great start. With the winning equation, this tendency will continue. Yadav wrote in Hindi on ‘X’ that the ‘INDIA‘ team and the ‘PDA’ plan will change history. This development coincides with clear signs that JD(U) president and chief minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, may do another U-turn and join the BJP-led NDA. After cutting his connections with the BJP in August 2022, Kumar teamed up with the RJD, which was established by his erstwhile fierce opponent Lalu Prasad. After that, the chief minister of Bihar with the longest tenure started an initiative to unite all political parties in the nation against the BJP, which resulted in the creation of the opposition alliance INDIA. Should Kumar choose to rejoin the NDA, it would be a major blow to the opposition alliance.
