NEW DELHI: Sonia Gandhi, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, and Mallikarjun Kharge, the head of the Congress party, turned down the invitation to the Ram Mandir on Wednesday. Speaking at a public event in the South 24 Parganas district of Joynagar, Banerjee stated that she disagrees with segregating people along religious lines.“As though I had nothing better to do, I was asked to remark on the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya yesterday. I told her that while religion is personal, holidays are shared by all.” The leader of the Trinamool Congress, Banerjee, stated that she supports celebrations that bring together members of all communities and promote harmony. “The BJP is following the court’s orders to inaugurate the Ram Mandir, but they are doing it as a publicity stunt before of the Lok Sabha elections. “I think it’s wrong to separate people based on their religion,” she declared.
