Imphal (Manipur), Jan 15: The second day of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra resumed from Imphal West in Manipur in the early hours of Monday. After starting in Sekmai and continuing to Kangpokpi and Senapati in Manipur, the Yatra will come to an end at night in Nagaland. “Day 2 of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra began bright and early at 7:30am with the traditional flag hoisting by Seva Dal at the campsite,” stated Congress national secretary Jairam Ramesh in a post published on X today. Keisham Meghachandra, Manipur’s PCC President, raised the flag. The yatra will go from Sekmai to Kangpokpi, Senapati in Manipur, and finally a nighttime stop in Nagaland.Supriya Shrinate, the party’s social media spokeswoman, posted on X “We’re ready to fight back against all injustices, shouting for justice.” Will hear what you have to say about insecurity, crime, unemployment, inflation, and poverty And together, we shall find a solution. Rahul Gandhi, the Member of Parliament for Wayanad, and party chief Mallikarjun Kharge launched the yatra on Sunday from Thoubal in Manipur. Over the course of 67 days, the yatra will travel over 6,700 km and pass through 110 districts. Before the yatra began, the party’s leaders and workers offered a quiet tribute to those lost in the state’s violence. On Sunday, Rahul Gandhi stated that his party launched the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in order to guarantee justice for the people, who are currently going through a time of “great injustice” in the nation. It was questioned why the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra was held. It’s because India is currently experiencing a time of extreme injustice. After beginning his yatra from Thoubal in Manipur, Rahul Gandhi remarked, “It is of all kinds – social, political, and economical.” The leader of the Congress party also took a harsh stance against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that it is “shameful” that the nation’s leader chose not to visit the state riven by ethnic conflict and shed tears for the people.“Since 2004, I have been involved in politics, and this was my first visit to an area in India where the entire system of governance had collapsed.” Following his state visit on June 29, Manipur lost its identity, became divided, and animosity was dispersed throughout the region, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives. People witnessed the death of loved ones in front of them. Furthermore, the Indian prime minister has yet to visit you to hold your hand and wipe your tears. It’s a disgraceful thing, Rahul remarked.
