JAMMU: Beginning today, those who wish to use the helicopter service between Katra and Sanjhi Chhat while visiting the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine will have to pay more. According to reports, the airline that was awarded the contract for the following three years has set its one-way air fare at Rs. 2100 per person and its round-trip air fare at Rs. 4200 per person. It used to cost Rs 1820 per person for a one-way ticket between Katra and Sanjhi Chhat and Rs 3640 for an up-and-down ticket. As a result, starting today, the air fare for the helicopter service will have increased by more than 20%. The amount of GST to be paid on the chopper ticket is unclear, according to the sources.
