CBI Searches Premises Of Harsh Mander’s NGO For Financial Irregularities

NEW DELHI, Feb 2: According to sources, the CBI conducted searches at the headquarters of an NGO founded by writer and human rights campaigner Harsh Mander on Friday and filed case alleging violations of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act against the organisation. Mander is the founder of the NGO Aman Biradari and was member of the National Advisory Council under Sonia Gandhi‘s leadership in the previous UPA government. After receiving report from the Union Home Ministry, Aman Biradari has become the subject of formal complaint alleging that he violated many provisions of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act.
