NEW DELHI, Feb 2: According to sources, the CBI conducted searches at the headquarters of an NGO founded by writer and human rights campaigner Harsh Mander on Friday and filed a case alleging violations of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act against the organisation. Mander is the founder of the NGO Aman Biradari and was a member of the National Advisory Council under Sonia Gandhi‘s leadership in the previous UPA government. After receiving a report from the Union Home Ministry, Aman Biradari has become the subject of a formal complaint alleging that he violated many provisions of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act.
