BJP using its ‘right hand’ ED as blackmailing tactic to intimidate opposition: Mehbooba

JAMMU: Mehbooba Mufti, the president of the PDP, charged the BJP-led central government on Wednesday with "using" the Enforcement Directorate against INDIA alliance leaders as a "blackmailing tactic" to scare the opposition. The Bihar caste survey, according to Mufti, is legitimate since it would demonstrate how greatly the underprivileged and disadvantaged have benefited in the past. "This (government) is a complete failure. The status of poverty has led to individuals ingesting poison. The ED has evolved into the BJP's right hand in this circumstance. In dealing with the opposition, it has failed. It is terrified of the alliance with INDIA.The Peoples Democratic Party leader claimed that it was utilizing the ED. She told reporters here: "This is a BJP blackmail ploy to scare the opposition. In connection with a money laundering investigation involving the Delhi excise policy, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a home raid on AAP MP Sanjay Singh on Wednesday morning. This is being done, she claimed, to distract the public's focus from the BJP government's failings across the board, especially in creating jobs, managing inflation, and protecting women's security. Mehbooba also made fun of the raids carried out on the news website NewsClick, claiming that they were carried out because "they are afraid of facing the truth." "This is the same procedure of their use of ED tactics," she continued. Mehbooba claimed that the caste census would demonstrate the historical benefits received by the underprivileged and uneducated.
