Altaf Bukhari to contest from north Kashmir parliamentary seat for Apni Party

BANDIPORA: Altaf Bukhari, the president of the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP), declared on Tuesday that he will run for parliament from north Kashmir. Dilawar Mir stated at a convention in the Bandipora district, which was attended by a sizable contingent of party members and supporters, that the decision was made following a party consensus. Senior Apni Party leader Dilawar Mir urged the people of north Kashmir to vote for Bukhari in order to secure his victory by a wide margin during his speech to the convention. According to Mir, the party's only goal is to bring about peace, prosperity, and jobs in Jammu and Kashmir. In his speech, Altaf Bukhari pledged to work for the welfare of the local populace and to fight for their equal rights. Bukhari restated that his party would not engage in emotional rhetoric or make any false promises, and that Jammu and Kashmir's future belonged to India. He declared that his party was prepared to work with any other party to advance Kashmir's development. He also launched a vicious attack on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the National Conference (NC), charging them with lying to the public and engaging in deceptive politics. According to him, the Apni Party was not like them and would always tell it like it was. PM Modi given standing ovation at BJP Parliamentary Party meeting for assembly poll success

NEW DELHI: At the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a standing ovation in response to the party's incredible victory in three assembly elections. At the inaugural meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Party in the Winter Session of Parliament, senior leaders, including BJP president J P Nadda, congratulated Modi. Party MPs raised slogans praising his leadership. In the assembly elections held in the three states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, the BJP soundly defeated the Congress. Its significant victory has been attributed primarily to Modi's leadership. In Telangana, where the BJP's vote share and total increased, the Congress ousted the BRS. Every week during sessions, the entire membership of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha makes up the BJP Parliamentary Party. Its leaders, including Modi, speak at the meetings on various topics related to the Parliamentary agenda as well as its organisational and political campaigns. ‘1 flag, 1 PM, one constitution’ not a political slogan: Amit Shah in LS

NEW DELHI: The idea of "one flag, one prime minister, one constitution" is not a political catchphrase, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who stated on Tuesday that the BJP sincerely believes in the idea and has finally put it into practise with regard to Jammu and Kashmir. Shah questioned how a nation could have two prime ministers, two constitutions, and two flags in response to TMC member Saugata Roy's statement in the Lok Sabha that "ek nishan, ek pradhan, ek samvidhan (one flag, one head, one constitution)" was a "political slogan". Roy's comments, in his words, were "objectionable". Shah stated, "Whoever did it was wrong," in response to a statement made by the opposition benches. Narendra Modi made the correction.Whether you agree or disagree doesn't matter. Everybody in the nation desired it." This remark seemed to be a reference to Jammu and Kashmir's repeal of Article 370's provisions. "One symbol, one head, one constitution" was not an election slogan, he continued. "We had been saying since 1950 that a country should have one PM, one flag and one constitution and two will not do and we have done it." Union Minister Piyush Goyal said shortly after Roy concluded his remarks on the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill that although the TMC leader listed Syama Prasad Mukherjee, he ought to have also brought up his sacrifice.Roy claimed that "ek nishan, ek pradhan, ek samvidhan" was his "political slogan" and that he had taught in a college bearing Mukherjee's name. Then Shah stood up to retaliate against the TMC member. J&K Has Witnessed Lot Of Change In Last 4Yrs: Anurag Thakur

NEW DELHI, Dec 5: In a Tuesday jab at TMC chief Saugata Ray, Union Minister Anurag Thakur claimed that Jammu and Kashmir had changed significantly in the four years since Article 370 was repealed. Speaking during the Lok Sabha's discussion of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, Thakur stated that there had been no incidents of stone throwing and that the Indian tricolour is currently flown in every street in the Union Territory.However, Thakur recalled his own experience during the Tiranga Yatra, saying that earlier, when the National Conference (NC) was in power, BJP officials were imprisoned for attempting to hoist the national flag there. In response to the leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) stating that "ek nishan, ek pradhan, ek samvidhan" was a political catchphrase, he made this statement. The minister of communication and broadcasting claimed that the "Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra," which highlights the people-centered policies of the Narendra Modi government, is being prohibited from taking place in West Bengal by the TMC government. Not even seventy years after independence had Articles 370 and 35A in Jammu and Kashmir been abolished by the Modi government, he claimed.Maharaja Hari Singh, who signed the Instrument of Accession with India, made a significant contribution to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. Thakur criticised the opposition for omitting this fact. Does his input go unnoticed? Does Sardar Patel's contribution—who made sure the princely realms merged—not deserve recognition? Sardar Patel established the groundwork for a powerful India. The deficiencies that Jawaharlal Nehru left behind were addressed today in Parliament on August 5–6, 2019, according to Thakur.
