‘1 flag, 1 PM, one constitution’ not a political slogan: Amit Shah in LS

NEW DELHI: The idea of "one flag, one prime minister, one constitution" is not a political catchphrase, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who stated on Tuesday that the BJP sincerely believes in the idea and has finally put it into practise with regard to Jammu and Kashmir. Shah questioned how a nation could have two prime ministers, two constitutions, and two flags in response to TMC member Saugata Roy's statement in the Lok Sabha that "ek nishan, ek pradhan, ek samvidhan (one flag, one head, one constitution)" was a "political slogan". Roy's comments, in his words, were "objectionable". Shah stated, "Whoever did it was wrong," in response to a statement made by the opposition benches. Narendra Modi made the correction.Whether you agree or disagree doesn't matter. Everybody in the nation desired it." This remark seemed to be a reference to Jammu and Kashmir's repeal of Article 370's provisions. "One symbol, one head, one constitution" was not an election slogan, he continued. "We had been saying since 1950 that a country should have one PM, one flag and one constitution and two will not do and we have done it." Union Minister Piyush Goyal said shortly after Roy concluded his remarks on the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill that although the TMC leader listed Syama Prasad Mukherjee, he ought to have also brought up his sacrifice.Roy claimed that "ek nishan, ek pradhan, ek samvidhan" was his "political slogan" and that he had taught in a college bearing Mukherjee's name. Then Shah stood up to retaliate against the TMC member. J&K Has Witnessed Lot Of Change In Last 4Yrs: Anurag Thakur

NEW DELHI, Dec 5: In a Tuesday jab at TMC chief Saugata Ray, Union Minister Anurag Thakur claimed that Jammu and Kashmir had changed significantly in the four years since Article 370 was repealed. Speaking during the Lok Sabha's discussion of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, Thakur stated that there had been no incidents of stone throwing and that the Indian tricolour is currently flown in every street in the Union Territory.However, Thakur recalled his own experience during the Tiranga Yatra, saying that earlier, when the National Conference (NC) was in power, BJP officials were imprisoned for attempting to hoist the national flag there. In response to the leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) stating that "ek nishan, ek pradhan, ek samvidhan" was a political catchphrase, he made this statement. The minister of communication and broadcasting claimed that the "Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra," which highlights the people-centered policies of the Narendra Modi government, is being prohibited from taking place in West Bengal by the TMC government. Not even seventy years after independence had Articles 370 and 35A in Jammu and Kashmir been abolished by the Modi government, he claimed.Maharaja Hari Singh, who signed the Instrument of Accession with India, made a significant contribution to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. Thakur criticised the opposition for omitting this fact. Does his input go unnoticed? Does Sardar Patel's contribution—who made sure the princely realms merged—not deserve recognition? Sardar Patel established the groundwork for a powerful India. The deficiencies that Jawaharlal Nehru left behind were addressed today in Parliament on August 5–6, 2019, according to Thakur. Real challenge is to promote learning beyond classroom: LG Sinha

JAMMU: The true problem facing the educational system, according to Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, is to encourage study outside of the classroom and instill life skills. In order to close the learning gaps, Sinha also urged educators and educational establishments to embrace best practises that are in line with the National Education Policy. "My advice to our young is to never give up on your aspirations. At a celebration held at a private school here, Sinha stated, "Discover what you really love doing, strive continuously to achieve new goals, reflect on your greatest passion and never ever stop believing in yourself."The Lieutenant Governor stated that there was a shift occurring in the field of education and underlined the necessity of reimagining the ideas of classroom instruction. "School is the birthplace of tomorrow's leaders, a hub for character development and innovation, and a vital tool for bolstering our society's value system. The true issue facing our educational system now is to transmit life skills and encourage study outside of the classroom, the speaker stated. According to Sinha, the NEP has opened up a plethora of opportunities to improve education and establish an atmosphere that encourages young children's learning by developing their critical thinking, creativity, originality, and curiosity. CS for creating a formal mechanism for regular interaction with Industries

JAMMU: Although acknowledging that MSMEs are the backbone of J&K's industrial sector, the Chief Secretary stressed the importance of giving these businesses the help they need in all areas to raise their status from lower to higher strata and create significant jobs for the state. In addition to routinely observing the allotments to guarantee the prompt operationalization of the units by the prospective entrepreneurs, he suggests setting deadlines for the completion of work on all new industrial estates. According to Dulloo, the PM Vishwakarma plan is a platform that aims to provide comprehensive support to marginalised artisans and craftsmen who perform manual labour and ought to be acknowledged and supported for their efforts. As a result, the plan needs to be properly prioritised in order to be implemented. He gave the order to help applicants register in accordance with the approved target in every way possible and to make sure that each and every one of these artisans is registered on the portal. Dulloo examined the status of GI tagging as well, and he gave advice on how to complete all required procedures to get GI tagging for the 11 goods that are in the pipeline as well as the 10 that have already been notified. Additionally, he gave time-bound instructions to increase the number of these authorised users. Of the 46 new IEs, it was revealed that NBCC and IRCON are developing seven and eight of them, while CPWD and SIDCO/SICOP are developing six of them each. The Chief Secretary gave instructions to quicken the pace and fulfil the deadlines after taking note of the problems with industrial estate development, the department's future objectives, and the capital expenditures made thus far. In addition to recording the largest-ever investment of Rs 2153.45 Cr in the previous fiscal year, the Department has realised an investment of Rs 2079.76 Cr in the UT as of October 2023, according to the Commissioner Secretary, I&C. During this conference, other topics covered were the single window system, land development for IEs, the availability of utilities there, and problems pertaining to the Ministry of Home Affairs' flagship programmes and their standing in the UT.  Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo convened the Industries and Commerce Department's initial review to assess the department's operations and the state of the Industrial Policy's implementation in Utah. In addition to the HoDs of I&C from both Divisions of the UT, the meeting was attended by the Secretary of Industries & Commerce (I&C), the Commissioner Secretary, and the Managing Directors of the affiliated Corporations. During the discussion, Dulloo persuaded the Department to establish a formal process for bringing industrialists' issues to light and resolving them. He suggested that the forum hold regular sessions in both divisions. Promoting and advancing the interests of industry stakeholders ought to be the forum's main goal.Additionally, Dulloo placed a strong emphasis on sustaining the rate at which various industries develop while making sure that stakeholders' expectations are satisfied without difficulty. “It’s been 6 to 7 years, elections have still not happened in J&K”: Farooq Abdullah

NEW DELHI: Farooq Abdullah, the president of the National Conference, questioned on Monday why elections have not been held in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the people living in Union Territory should receive justice in line with their status as citizens of India. Farooq Abdullah, the head of the National Conference, stated to reporters in Delhi that "Jammu and Kashmir still hasn't held elections." Six or seven years have passed. Why is it the case? We belong to India as well. Justice ought to be served to us as well." Farooq Abdullah went on to say that the INDIA bloc's parties have to step up their efforts in unison in light of the recent Assembly election outcomes in five states. "Victory and defeat are constants in life. We ought to take lessons from both wins and losses. The INDIA alliance will not be affected by this setback. We'll need to put forth more effort. Our work needs to be coordinated. We still have a ways to go," he remarked. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to reporters prior to the start of the Parliamentary session, describing it as a "golden opportunity for opposition parties to do something constructive" and urging them not to use the House as a place to air their grievances over losing the assembly elections. "Negativity has been rejected by the nation. For my friends in the opposition, this is a fantastic opportunity. We urge and pray for the cooperation of everyone. The process has been carried out this time as well. PM Modi stated, "They should learn from this defeat, reject the idea of negativity that has been there for the last nine years, and approach the session with positivity, rather than venting their anger at defeat (in the assembly elections)." He added that strengthening the foundation of developed India and fostering public aspirations depend on the Parliament, the temple of democracy. Today marked the start of the Winter Session of the Parliament. Yesterday saw the announcement of the results of the Assembly elections in four states, with the Congress defeating the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana and the BJP winning three (Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan). On December 22, the Winter session will come to an end. [caption id="attachment_6738" align="alignnone"…
