JAMMU: According to JKPCC president Vikar Rasool Wani, the BJP will suffer greatly from its failures on all fronts, while the Congress will become a powerful force in Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking at a meeting of the District Congress Committee Jammu Urban, which was called by the recently appointed president of the committee, Th Manmohan Singh, at the PCC office, Wani attacked the BJP for allegedly avoiding holding elections out of a fear of an embarrassing loss and claimed that people are being denied their fundamental democratic rights. The selection of Th Manmohan Singh as DCC president was enthusiastically received by a large number of DCC and Block Congress employees at PCC headquarters today.Arvind Rasool Wani and Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Incharge, AICC Along with senior PCC leaders, DCC Bock and Ward Presidents, and a sizable contingent of party employees, Manoj Yadav, the Qrking President of the PCC Raman Bhalla, cordially welcomed and congratulated the newly appointed DCC president. Wani went on to say that the Congress party is a powerful force in the state and that more has to be done to build the party at the grassroots level and encourage cadre engagement. Th. Manmohan Singh was honoured on becoming president of the district congress committee in Jammu (Urban). He said that because Th. Manmohan Singh served as both the general secretary of the JKPCC and the Youth Congress, he had extensive experience with organisational issues. Manoj Yadav, the secretary of the AICC, predicted that the Congress would win the assembly elections in five states, handily defeating the BJP. He blasted the BJP for denying the people of J&K their right to a free and fair election. Given his commitment to the party, he was pleased when the party leadership selected Th. Manmohan Singh for the position of DCC President Jammu Urban. According to PCC Shri Raman Bhalla, working president, people will send the BJP a lesson for its anti-people stance.
