Union Cabinet approves Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan
NEW DELHI: According to Union Minister Anurag Thakur, the Union Cabinet has approved the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) to concentrate on 11 crucial interventions across several ministries on Wednesday. The project will cost a total of Rs 24,104 crore, as declared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas at Khunti, Jharkhand. States would contribute Rs 8,768 crore, with the central government contributing Rs 15,336 crore. The Union Cabinet gave the plan their blessing on Tuesday evening. It has been determined that 75 communities spread over 18 states as well as the Union Territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).The administration stated that these PVTGs are still vulnerable in the social, economic, and educational spheres. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is one of nine ministries that will spearhead eleven crucial initiatives as part of the PM-JANMAN. The Ministry of Ayush will establish an Ayush Wellness Centre in accordance with current regulations, and mobile medical units will allow Ayush amenities to be extended to PVTG residences. at accordance with the appropriate abilities of these communities, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship would support skill and vocational training at PVTG habitations, multipurpose centres, and hostels.
