Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra Resumes In Dhanbad

Dhanbad, Feb 4: On February 4, the third day of his yatra through Jharkhand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's "Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra" began from Dhanbad. The yatra resumed at Govindpur in Dhanbad city on Sunday following a nightly stop in the district's Tundi block on Saturday. Congress lawmaker Jairam Ramesh declared, "We are in Dhanbad today and we are heading to Bokaro." Bokaro, he continued, is a steel city. "Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the former prime minister, constructed these monuments. Ramesh stated, "When people ask what we accomplished in 70 years, they should look at Bhilai, Rourkela, Durgapur, Bhakra Nangal, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Barauni, and Sindri. These are all symbols of India's economic growth."Vice-president of the Jharkhand Congress, Brajendra Prasad Singh, stated that the yatra, which began at Govindpur, will travel via Saraidhela, the IIT-ISM gate, Randhir Verma Chowk, Shramik Chowk outside the railway station, and finally arrive at Bank More, where he will give a speech to the people. It will thereafter head in the direction of Bokaro Steel City. Around 2:00 pm, the yatra will resume from Jena More following the launch break in Bokaro. Gandhi is expected to make his nightly stop in the Ramgarh district on Sunday. Over the course of eight days and two phases, the yatra will span 804 km and 13 districts in the State. It will cover a total distance of 6,713 km in 67 days, stopping in 110 districts across 15 states before arriving in Mumbai on March 20. NC leader from Gujjar community joins BJP in Jammu

JAMMU: Haji Mohammed Hussain, a former legislative council member and leader of the Senior National Conference, joined the BJP here on Saturday. According to a party spokeswoman, senior leader Devender Rana and BJP state general secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul welcomed Hussain, a member of the Gujjar community, into the party. Koul expressed pleasure that Hussain and his followers had joined him, saying that non-BJP governments had taken advantage of the Gujjar minority for vote-bank politics and had done little to improve their welfare. He declared, "The senior leaders of other parties are turning more and more towards the BJP with every day, and they are making a commitment to see that Narendra Modi becomes prime minister for a record three terms."Hussain's entry, according to Rana, will improve the party's reputation among Gujjars. "Gujjars have grown to trust Prime Minister Modi's leadership because they are persuaded by the government's policies and initiatives. Delhi Police serves notice to Arvind Kejriwal over “MLA poaching claims”, seeks reply within 3 days

NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal received a notice from Delhi Police Crime Branch officers on Saturday over the Aam Aadmi Party's accusation against Bharatiya Janata Party "of trying to buy AAP MLAs." The notification requested a response from the AAP leader within three days, according to sources. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's Delhi home was visited by a group of Delhi Police Crime Branch officers. In addition, police officers arrived on Friday to serve notice in relation to the Aam Aadmi Party's accusation against the BJP for allegedly "trying to buy AAP MLAs" and to get proof from him. In addition to Kejriwal, the police officers had earlier on Friday knocked on the doors of AAP minister Atishi's home in search of proof. But according to sources, neither of the AAP leaders was at their respective homes. Ranchi, Feb 3: On Saturday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will go to Jharkhand for his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and pay a visit to the renowned Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar. The Yatra arrived in the state on Friday afternoon from West Bengal via the Pakur district. It started in Manipur on January 14. The Yatra started on Saturday morning from Sarkanda Chowk in the Godda district, following a nightly stop at Littipara in Pakur, according to Congress spokesperson Rakesh Sinha. Gandhi said that at 2:30 pm, he will go to the historic Deoghar temple devoted to Lord Shiva and offer prayers.He will also speak at a public forum and conduct a roadshow throughout the district later on. Jammu, Feb 2: Former Member of Parliament and senior Congress leader Bhakta Charan Das expressed his pessimism on Friday over the BJP-led central government's ability to organise assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir by the end of September. But he asserted that by holding the eagerly anticipated elections in the Union Territory, the government should honour democracy, popular opinion, and the ruling of the Supreme Court. Speaking to media prior to a meeting behind closed doors with the 26-member J&K Pradesh Election committee, Das is the head of the cluster-IV screening committee that recommends party candidates for the Lok Sabha elections.The Supreme Court, which ordered assembly elections to be held before the end of September, democracy, and the goals of the people of Jammu and Kashmir should all be respected by the government led by Narendra Modi. If the government is willing, the election can take place, but I do not think it will. In many locations, they have shown little respect for democracy. However, it would be beneficial if the assembly polls were held here, the Congress leader stated. He was answering a query concerning the party's setup for the Union Territory assembly elections. The Congress announced the creation of five screening committees last month in order to propose party candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. States and Union territories have been divided into five groups by the party.Nearly the whole northern region of India is covered by the cluster-IV screening committee. After the first round of voting with the Pradesh Congress, we will discuss some technical matters today, such as the alliance partners and how to contest the upcoming lower house election. We want to present our findings to the five-member screening committee that was established specifically for this reason," he declared. He indicated that to clear up any misunderstandings, a conversation is ongoing with the alliance's partners. "We don't have the authority to make decisions. That is beyond of our purview.
