‘Bhakti-shakti’ confluence led to grand Ram temple construction in Ayodhya: Yogi

PUNE: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath claimed on Sunday that the "saga of 500 years of slavery" was broken by the convergence of "bhakti and shakti," which resulted in the building of the magnificent Ram temple in Ayodhya. Adityanath praised Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for defying Mughal emperor Aurangzeb while speaking at the Geeta Bhakti Amrit Mahotsav in Alandi, Maharashtra's Pune region. On January 22, this year, a lavish ceremony was organised at the Ayodhya shrine to dedicate the idol of Ram Lalla. According to Adityanath, devotion and strength are coming together today as "shakti and bhakti" come together. By ending the tale of 500 years of enslavement, the union of bhakti and shakti resulted in the building of the magnificent Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. We had the chance to see that extraordinary occasion," he remarked. Maharashtra's population is lucky, according to the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, since they have been blessed by saints for hundreds of years. "This shakti is defeating the adversaries because it sprang from bhakti. From this area, Samarth Ramdas had spawned Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who defied the authority of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb and was abandoned to suffer and die, with no one caring about him even now "said the speaker. The chief minister of UP claimed that Maharashtra is known as the region of valour because of its closeness to venerable saints. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is a manifestation of strength and devotion, he stated. Adityanath claimed to have travelled to Agra following his election as Uttar Pradesh's chief minister. There was a 'Mughal museum' under construction. Since we are related to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and not the Mughals, I suggested that the museum be named in his honour," he remarked. According to Adityanath, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is also honoured by the defensive corridor that Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced will be built in Uttar Pradesh. "I am sure that the country's armed forces are achieving the aim of getting atmanirbhar (self-reliant)," he stated. Assembly elections in J&K before Sep 2024: Tarun Chugh

SRINAGAR: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has been under fire for not holding polls in Jammu and Kashmir, declared today that the state would have elections before September. "Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls will take place prior to September," declared Tarun Chugh, the chief BJP general secretary, on Saturday. According to Chugh, the BJP wants Assembly elections to take place as soon as feasible. He did, however, clarify that the Election Commission of India (ECI) has the last say and that the BJP is ready for polls before September. He pointed to recent bills that give Paharis in the area reservations, praising the BJP for its earlier, model efforts to provide similar privileges to other underprivileged groups like Gujjars.Politicians such as Omar Abdullah, the vice-president of the National Conference, have accused the BJP and the Election Commission of postponing the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. According to Abdullah, if the region's Assembly elections were held today, the BJP would not even win ten seats. Omar has earlier expressed regret about the Supreme Court's directive to hold Assembly elections before September. "In other words, the EC ought to be embarrassed of itself. The citizens need an apology from the EC. The Supreme Court made the ruling that had to be made. The Indian government ought to have assisted the EC in making the decision to hold elections. However, neither of them seemed to care about it.In its ruling on December 11 of last year, the Supreme Court ruled that Article 370 had been revoked and ordered the Election Commission (EC) to conduct polls in Jammu and Kashmir by September 30. Leading a five-judge Constitution Bench, Chief Justice DY Chandrachud declared that direct elections were an essential component of democracy and could not be excluded.
