Agnipath Scheme Gross Injustice To Country’s Youth: Kharge Writes To President

NEW DELHI, Feb 26: Mallikarjun Kharge, the leader of the Congress, wrote to President Droupadi Murmu on Monday, drawing attention to the "gross injustice" that the Agnipath project had inflicted upon the nation's youths who were seeking regular employment in the military services, and he urged her to see to it that justice was served for them. According to Kharge's letter to the President, the usual recruitment process in the armed forces has ended, leaving approximately two lakh young men and women without a clear future. The Indian Armed Forces' Supreme Commander is also the President. These young people dedicated years of their lives to pursuing their dreams, and according to Kharge, "the resulting frustration and hopelessness has even led to several reported deaths by suicide." We cannot accept this kind of suffering for our young people. He said, "I beg you to see to it that justice and NYAY are served. With the intention of reducing the age distribution of the three services, the government launched the Agnipath recruitment programme in June 2022 for the short-term entry of persons into the armed forces. It calls for the recruitment of young people for four years, between the ages of seventeen and a half and twenty-one, with the option to retain twenty-five percent of them for an additional fifteen years. Arvind Kejriwal skips seventh ED summons, AAP says agency should wait for court order

NEW DELHI: The AAP said that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will not be appearing before the Enforcement Directorate on Monday over the money laundering investigation related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam, and that the agency need to wait for the court judgement rather than issue repeated summonses. Kejriwal has evaded the ED summons seven times in a row. Last Monday, the agency sent the chief minister a seventh summons, requesting that he come in for questioning. Kejriwal has so far ignored every summons, referring to them as "illegal".Additionally, he had written to the ED to request their withdrawal. The AAP declared in a statement that the chief minister will not be appearing before the ED. It stated that rather than issuing out more summonses, the agency should wait for the Delhi court's decision on March 16 about the legitimacy of the ED summons. The argument that Kejriwal should not have received a fresh notice requiring his attendance because the case was still pending in a local court was dismissed by the ED when it issued the seventh summons. ‘India’s Nari Shakti touching new heights of progress in every field’: PM Modi in ‘Mann Ki Baat’

NEW DELHI: During the 110th episode of his monthly radio show, Mann ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that women's influence in the nation is reaching unprecedented levels of advancement in every field. Additionally, PM Modi stated that March 8, which is International Women's Day, is a chance to honour the contributions made by women's power to the nation's progress. "We will commemorate Women's Day on March 8th, which is a few days away. This unique day offers the chance to honour the contributions made by women's power to the nation's growth. According to the renowned poet Bharathiyar Ji, women's equality is a prerequisite for global prosperity. The PM stated that "Nari Shakti, or women's power, is reaching new heights of progress in every field." According to PM Modi, women in the nation have demonstrated their capacity for leadership in natural farming, water conservation, and cleanliness. "There isn't a single industry in the nation today where women are falling behind. Natural agriculture, water conservation, and cleanliness are the domains in which women have demonstrated their leadership skills. The usage of chemicals is causing harm to Mother Earth. Relief from this suffering is largely being provided by women's power in the country, the PM stated. The Prime Minister also emphasised the 'NAMO Drone Didi' programme, which was introduced by Prime Minister Modi a year ago, and stated that the programme had improved the lives of rural women. Who would have imagined that women from rural areas of our nation would also be piloting drones, only a few years ago? However, this is starting to happen now. These days, Drone Didi is a hot topic in every village; everyone is talking about it and chanting Namo Drone Didi. "Everyone is discussing them," he remarked. The Namo Drone Didi programme was introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year. Since then, several fertiliser companies—aside from IFFCO—have stepped forward to support women employed in self-help group initiatives like "Lakhpati didi" in order to empower them.One of the most significant initiatives to support women in the agriculture industry is the Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendras programme, which will see 15,000 drones deployed and turn women into "drone didis" (self-help groups). These SHGs receive training in drone maintenance and operation as part of the 'Drone Ki Udaan' programme. The Namo Drone Didi Scheme aims to equip 15,000 women's self-help groups (SHGs) with drones so they may hire them out to farmers, thus empowering them. During the radio programme, PM Modi also had a virtual conversation with Sunita Devi, a "Namo Drone Beneficiary" from Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. The revolutionary impact of drones on agricultural practices and technological breakthroughs in farming was brought to light by Sita Devi. At Urdu Park Jama Masjid Near Jama Masjid in Delhi, listeners to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio show "Mann Ki Baat" alongside members of the BJP Minority Morcha of Delhi. Mann Ki Baat was first introduced on October 3, 2014, and its target audience includes women, the elderly, and young people in India. Modi shares information on government policies, programmes, and welfare initiatives via this channel. Mann Ki Baat is televised in 29 dialects and 22 Indian languages. It is also available to viewers in 11 other languages, including as French, Chinese, and Arabic.
