Lok Sabha polls: Will contest all 3 seats in Kashmir valley, says NC

SRINAGAR: The National Conference (NC) announced on Tuesday that although the party will run for all three of the Kashmir valley's Lok Sabha seats, it is now in negotiations with the Congress to determine which three seats will represent the Jammu and Ladakh areas. Both parties belong to the INDIA group, which is in opposition. Following an extended meeting of its legislative board at the party headquarters here, the NC made its announcement. Following the meeting, NC province president for Kashmir, Nasir Aslam Wani, told reporters, "The National Conference will contest these three seats from the valley on its own." However, the party led by Farooq Abdullah stated that talks with the Congress were ongoing over seat sharing for one Ladakh seat and two Jammu seats.
