‘IED Like Material’ Found, Destroyed On NH In Rajouri
JAMMU, Sept 3: Security personnel discovered and detonated an item like an improvised explosive device (IED) on a national highway in the Rajouri district of Jammu on Sunday, one day after Chief of Army Staff (CAOS), General Manoj Pande, finished his two-day tour to the Pir Panchal region. According to officials, the road was shut down after IED-like material was discovered alongside NHW in Rajouri's Sangpur village. They said that the Army's bomb disposal team performed the required technical analysis of the substance and destroyed it using a controlled technique. Due to this, according to officials, traffic on the national highway between Jammu and Rajouri and Poonch has been halted for more than two hours on Sunday morning.
