SIA carries out searches in Poonch

JAMMU, Nov 4: In connection with a case involving terrorism, the Special Investigation Agency (SIA) searched a home in the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, according to officials. They also said that the searches took place at the residence of suspect Muhammad Hafiz in Kanuyian village at around four in the morning. The officials claimed that Hafiz was not home when his residence was raided. According to the officials, early in the morning, police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted a joint cordon and search operation at Copra top, Bachian Wali, Shiendara, Thandi Kassi, and Mohalla Saedan in the Poonch district. Mayor launches 3 Apps to weed out corruption from JMC

JAMMU: In a significant move to eradicate corruption inside the Urban Local Body (ULB), Jammu Mayor Rajinder Sharma introduced three smartphone applications on Friday. His initial app, called "My Jammu," allows users to check the city's building permit for each JMC Ward. The Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) stated during a function in this regard that the App will also make it easier to check the status of building permission breaches and to file concerns against them. The concerned inspectors, enforcement officials, chief enforcement officers, Joint Commissioner R&E, Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma informed, will all oversee this system internally. If the previous notice's response is still not satisfactory, a 7-3 notice should be sent out three days after the 7-1 notice. An 8-1 notice to seal the complex is issued if the 7-3 notice is not sent. "However, there was misconduct occurring, and because their hands were tied, the law enforcement officials did not issue 7-3 notifications. The Mayor stated that since the system is now online, concerned officers are required to issue notices of 7-3 after 7-1. She also added that this development would substantially stop harassment of the people and hold the officers accountable. Sharma stated that this will serve as yet another effective measure to guarantee "Imandar Jammu and Shandar Jammu."According to Rajinder Sharma, a second online grievance redressal platform has been launched. According to him, the mobile app contains a feature for collecting revenue. Prior to the online payment system, JMC employees would issue payment receipts. A person who paid Rs. 500 would receive a receipt for Rs. 300, resulting in the theft of Rs. 200, the Mayor stated. This will stop wrongdoing and realise PM Modi's goal of cashless transactions. JAMMU: According to JKPCC president Vikar Rasool Wani, the BJP will suffer greatly from its failures on all fronts, while the Congress will become a powerful force in Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking at a meeting of the District Congress Committee Jammu Urban, which was called by the recently appointed president of the committee, Th Manmohan Singh, at the PCC office, Wani attacked the BJP for allegedly avoiding holding elections out of a fear of an embarrassing loss and claimed that people are being denied their fundamental democratic rights. DODA: Ghulam Nabi Azad, the chairman of the DPAP and a former union minister, asserted that his efforts in Delhi and other states were helping the Congress win elections. "My efforts and hard work were the reason Congress was able to win the elections that it did. The DPAP chairman added, "You can now see the situation of Congress," on Friday during a sizable public demonstration in Bhella, Doda district. Azad remarked that he was winning elections for the Congress in Delhi and many other states because of the people's faith in him. However, over the past few years, the party's graph has declined as a result of the senior leadership's failure to learn from its previous setbacks.In an attempt to garner public support for his party's revolutionary ideas, the former chief minister of J&K stated that only his party could guarantee balanced and equal growth throughout all of the J&K UT's regions and subregions. LG visits World Skill Center in Bhubaneswar, Odisha

BHUBANESWAR: Today, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid a visit to the World Skill Centre, a prestigious advanced skill training facility founded by the Odisha government in Bhubaneswar. Div Com Jammu reviews progress on Delhi-Amritsar Katra Expressway

JAMMU: Ramesh Kumar, the Divisional Commissioner for Jammu, presided over a meeting on Friday to discuss the status of the Delhi-Amritsar Katra Motorway project's construction. Along with senior officers from the Forest, JPDCL, Defence Estates, and other relevant departments, the meeting was attended by NHAI Regional Officers, Director Airports, Chief Engineers, Jal Shakti, and Project Directors. Deputy Commissioners from Kathua, Samba, Reasi, and Jammu also participated via video conference. The meeting examined the status of the work on the famous motorway in great detail. It was stated that all of the completed packages are currently under construction. J&K Govt Prohibits Employees From Participating In Demonstrations, Strikes

JAMMU, Nov 3: The government of Jammu and Kashmir prohibited its workers from taking part in protests or strikes in support of their demands on Friday. They also issued a warning that any employee discovered to be involved in such activities will face severe consequences. It has been reported, per an order, that certain employees are using strikes and protests to push for their goals.In reference to any issue concerning his or any other government employee's service, the government has invoked Rule 20(ii) of the Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees (Conduct) Rules, 1971. This rule prohibits government employees from participating in or aiding and abetting any form of strike. According to the judgement, the law's provision is not only declarative in character and will undoubtedly have an impact if any such employee is discovered engaging in such behaviour.Therefore, as a major act of misbehaviour and indiscipline, "all Administrative Secretaries are requested to circulate these instructions to employees in their respective Department(s) to desist from all such uncalled for demonstrations and strikes."It further stated that departments are under pressure to take severe disciplinary action against staff members who are discovered to have organised protests and strikes.
