Gulmarg, Feb 21: Leader of the National Conference Omar Abdullah requested on Wednesday that the Central government upgrade Gulmarg's skiing facilities in order to draw more winter sports enthusiasts to Kashmir. Govt Notifies Drugs, Diagnostics To Be Available Free Of Cost At J&K Health Centres

JAMMU, Feb 21: A list of medications and diagnostics that will be given away for free at different health and wellness centres around the Union Territory has been announced by the Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education Department. An order states that starting immediately, at least 65 medications and 38 diagnostic tests will be provided without charge at all Primary Health Centres and Sub-Centres located throughout Jammu and Kashmir.Notably, NHM J&K advised creating a committee to review and approve the list in addition to proposing to expand the quantity of medications and diagnostics available at Health & Wellness Centres. In light of this, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, recommended that a committee be formed to finalise the list of free medications and diagnostics to be provided at Health and Wellness Centres. This order mentions this. According to the order, a list of free medications and diagnostics is announced and will be made available at Jammu and Kashmir's Primary Health Centres and Sub-Centre based on the committee's recommendations.
