Soldier Electrocuted To Death In Samba

JAMMU, Sept 3:  In a camp in the Jammu and Kashmir district of Samba, an Army soldier was electrocuted to death after coming into contact with a live wire, according to officials on Sunday. According to the officials, engineering squadron member Deepak Pandey (25), who was working on a project late Sunday night, was electrocuted. They claimed that the Uttrakhand-born soldier passed away at the military hospital after being transported there. JAMMU: Ramesh Kumar, the Divisional Commissioner for Jammu, presided over a meeting of senior tourism officers and representatives from various stakeholder departments today to discuss the progress of renewing hotel licences. The meeting also included guests from the Jammu section of the Hotel Associations. In order to renew their licences, hotel associations must get NOCs from the Pollution Control Board, Fire Services, Character Certificates, etc. The president of the Hotel Association informed the Div Com of these concerns.
