Close associate of 26/11 mastermind Hafiz gunned down in Karachi

OCT 01, 2023 : Mufti Qaiser Farooq, a close friend of Hafiz Saeed of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), was assassinated by unidentified gunmen in Karachi, Pakistan. It is believed that Hafiz Saeed was the mastermind of the 26/11 strikes in India. Another preacher with ties to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Maulana Ziaur Rahman, died earlier this month after being shot dead by two motorcycle-riding gunmen while going for a usual evening stroll in Karachi. According to sources, Pakistani agencies are working hard to portray Ziaur Rahman and Mufti Qaiser as pious leaders with no ties to Hafiz Saeed and the LeT. Previously, the head of the Khalistan Commando Force, Paramjit Singh Panjwar, who was also connected to the ISI, was also slain.In February, Bashir Peer, the launch commander of Hizbul Mujahideen and a personal friend of Syed Salahuddin, was assassinated in Rawalpindi by unidentified gunmen close to the ISI offices and the military garrison. He was wounded by a close-range shot and died immediately. The military-industrial complex in Pakistan has become uneasy as a result of Pakistan's ISI moving some of its "assets" to secure areas in the wake of these recent assassinations. The ISI has relocated about a dozen of these people to'safe houses' that they have established. The earlier murders of two other Lashkar operatives, Abu Qasim Kashmiri in Rawalkot and Qari Khurram Shehzad in Nazimabad in September, made the necessity for vigilance in protecting these assets even more obvious. On September 12, local police allegedly found 11 cartridges, some of which were 9mm calibre, belonging to Rahman, a suspected terrorist connected to LeT. He had been using Jamia Abu Bakar, a seminary, as a front for his terrorist activities. He was working there as an administrator. The Pakistan Police classified the murder as a "terrorist attack," implying that domestic "militants" were involved. Investigators are also looking into the possibility that gang rivalry was a factor in the assassination. Rahman's murder comes after a string of assaults in Karachi on religious leaders who were all connected to terrorist organisations via the ISI and actively involved in radicalising and directing youths towards India. Azad dispels ‘rumours’ about being next LG of JK

Srinagar : Ghulam Nabi Azad, a former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, on Sunday dispelled "rumours" by stating that he had no interest in taking up the position of lieutenant governor. The former leader of the Congress declared he was not looking for work but rather wished to assist the people of J-K. "I will ask people not to believe the rumour mills, which are operating at full capacity. There is a recent report going around that Ghulam Nabi Azad will take over as LG. Speaking at a gathering to commemorate the founding day of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), which he founded last year after breaking with the Congress, Azad stated, "I have not come (to JK) searching for a job, I want to serve the people.Azad claimed that certain individuals were attempting to suggest that he was seeking rehabilitation. "I left two prestigious (Union) ministries—Housing and Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs—when I arrived here in 2005 (as chief minister) to serve the people. In response to charges that he returned to JK politics at the BJP's request, he claimed, "It wasn't like I was without work. Azad claimed that the two primary issues facing Jammu and Kashmir are unemployment and inflation, which he wants to address by making the most of the area's tourism potential. "Inflation is rising. It is true that India is not the only country with inflation.The largest inflation rate is in Europe, but they have alternative strategies to combat it. We live in a poor state, and unemployment is rising. Jobs are nonexistent. Although government vacancies are advertised, no interviews are conducted. The parents of educated kids have spent all of their savings on their education, and the youth themselves have no jobs. According to the previous chief minister, tourism has the capacity to generate income for all facets of society. "One Tulip Garden (created in 2007) has given thousands of people a means of subsistence. In each district of Jammu and Kashmir, as CM, I had a plan to create 10 to 12 tourism attractions.He continued, "I had plans to give loans to people for the construction of homestay facilities that may give them employment prospects. Azad called the Centre's 2019 repeal of Article 370 and 35A a "great mistake" and referenced them. "Over a long period of time, there were some political errors that caused the state to move backward rather than forward. Another serious error was committed in the last nine years when Article 370 and Article 35A were eliminated.After Independence, Article 35A and then Article 35B were not published. The Maharaja (Hari Singh) brought it in 1925. I stated in Parliament that the BJP would not have touched Articles 370 and 35A if they had known this. We were further back because of this error. It…

84-Yr-Old Man Transforms Regular Bicycle Into E-Cycle Using Solar Power

Udhampur, Oct 1: An 84-year-old man from Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir converts a standard bicycle into an environmentally friendly e-cycle that is powered by solar energy and electricity. In Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, 84-year-old Munshi Ram converted a standard bicycle into an electric vehicle. In order to create his e-cycle, he used old laptop batteries and e-waste, drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Vocal for Local" and "Green India" campaigns. Many neighbourhood neighbours congratulated him and came to inspect his e-cycle at his home and business. Munshi Ram promotes sustainability and environmental friendliness by powering his e-cycle with both solar and electrical energy. To produce the solar energy required to recharge his cycle, he put a solar panel on the roof of his home.He explained why he decided to start this innovative enterprise, living by the philosophy that necessity spurs invention. I've always favoured independence over relying on public transit, so it upset me that I couldn't simply go the roughly 31 miles to my parents' house in Patyeri, Jindrah. I therefore made the decision to act independently, said Munshi Ram. He emphasised the value of recycling used laptop batteries while bringing up the environmental issues raised by electronic waste."Many individuals throw away batteries and electrical garbage carelessly, which hurts our ecology and land. To ensure a better, healthier environment free of electronic trash and other pollutants, we must work to get our nation to embrace green energy alternatives, he said. An encouraging illustration of how people of all ages can help make the world greener and cleaner is Munshi Ram's conversion of a traditional bicycle into an eco-friendly e-cycle.His commitment to sustainability, creativity, and independence personifies the forward-thinking, environmentally conscious mindset that society needs to adopt in the present period. The life of Munshi Ram is an inspiration to all of us. It demonstrates that regardless of our age or available means, we can all make a role in the struggle for a cleaner and greener future. Major cybercrime network busted in Bengaluru: Rs 854 crore detected

BENGALURU: In a significant development, law enforcement officials have taken down a sizable Bengaluru-based cybercrime network. 5 013 cases have been registered nationally as a result of the operation, which revealed transactions of Rs 854 crores split across 84 bank accounts. The Bengaluru Cyber Crime Branch (CCB) has been crucial in the capture of members of this criminal organisation. The group behind these illegal acts has been apprehended by the CCB cybercrime police after 17 cases in total in the city were reported.Notably, while they were residing abroad, the accused were managing the accounts from Bengaluru. A number of important gang members with ties to Bengaluru, including Navara Manoj nicknamed Jock, Phanindra, Vasanth, Srinivasa, Chakradar alias Chakri, and Somashekhar alias Uncle, were working together with accomplices abroad. One of those detained is Ainathi Asami, who was in charge of overseeing the bank accounts of people living in Bangalore's Vidyaranyapur and Yelahanka neighbourhoods. This sophisticated cybercrime operation's method of operation involves sending messages with employment offers to people all throughout India using apps like WhatsApp and Telegram. Potential victims were persuaded to take part in what they thought were casual occupations connected to Google. With the prospect of remuneration, they were instructed to rate various stores and submit Google reviews.After people joined a Telegram channel, the defendant urged them to fund cryptocurrency-related businesses. They were lured into investing amounts between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 10,000. After investing, customers would be guaranteed daily profits of between Rs 1,000 and Rs 5,000. The stakes rose gradually as more people invested and confidence was established, and victims contributed thousands and even crores of rupees. These monies were subsequently put into various Bengaluru bank accounts. The money was then transferred into international bank accounts, where it was used to buy bitcoin for the cybercriminal gang controlling the bank accounts.The foreign group would then make various investments in foreign businesses with these cash. Law enforcement organisations seized computers, mobile phones, laptops, bank account information, credit cards, debit cards, swipe machines, SIM cards, printers, and chequebooks as part of the operation. Additionally, the CCB police have frozen Rs 5 crore in the accused's bank accounts.
