Crime Branch Jammu arrests absconder after 4 years

JAMMU: An absconder who had been eluding capture for the previous four years was allegedly apprehended by the Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch Jammu (CBJ). According to a Crime Branch spokesperson, Kulranjan Sharma of Rani Talab Digiana and two other individuals, Kulbir Singh of RS Pura and Nagrotam Singh of Marjali Kangril Jammu, were charged in case number 39/2020 at Police Station Crime Branch Jammu under Sections 420, 465, 468, 471, and 120-B RPC for their roles in forming a criminal conspiracy and defrauding a person of Rs 23.5 lakh by obtaining a bank loan in his favour for the sale of JCB."After collection of evidence, a charge-sheet was presented in the court of law against Kulbir Singh and Narotam Singh but Kulranjan Sharma continued to evade his arrest by constantly changing his locations," he stated. According to the CBJ spokeswoman, the accused was also the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the court on the Crime Branch's request, pursuant to Section 512 of the CrPC. "Today, in response to specific input, the accused was taken into custody from the outskirts of the city," he stated, stating that the accused would be brought before the legal court to determine the next steps. NEW DELHI: The national capital's surrounding parts and some of its interior were shrouded in a dense layer of fog on Friday morning as the mercury dropped to 5.4 degrees Celsius. On Friday morning, visibility near Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport was completely lost due to fog. However, there was no significant effect of the unfavourable weather on flight operations. However, before departing for the airport, travellers are advised to check flight information with the relevant airline, according to a warning released by the Delhi airport officials. Dr. Abid Rasheed thoroughly inspected each department while being accompanied by the principal of GMC Jammu & Associated Hospitals, Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Medical Superintendent of SMGS Hospital, Dr. Dara Singh, EXEN, Heads of Departments, Senior Professors, Physicians, Paramedics, and other stakeholders. The ENT Head & Neck Surgery wards, NICU, Triage, Ayushman Bharat Facilitation Centre, ICU of Gynaecology & Obstetrics, and MICU were all under the Secretary's observation.Dr. Rasheed sought insightful input on the calibre of hospital services and facilities from patients, their attendants, physicians, and paramedics during his tour. Cop injured in stone pelting during raid in Jammu

JAMMU, Jan 11: A police team that was going to capture notorious criminal Lau Gujjar was attacked today in the Waziru Chak neighbourhood of Bishnah, resulting in injury to one of the officers. According to sources, at around 5:30 in the morning, a team of police officers led by SP Headquarters and supported by SDPO RS Pura and SHO Bishnah arrived in the Waziru Chak area in response to specific inputs. Gulzar Ali, also known as Lau Gujjar, is wanted in multiple cases, including rape, attempted murder, criminal intimidation, NDPS, and attacks on law enforcement officers.Sadly, though, the police team came upon a hail of stones coming from the home where Lau was thought to be sheltering. One of the police officers, Bansi Lal, was hurt during the assault, according to sources, who also stated that the police had to use airguns to scatter the throng. Unfortunately, Lau was able to avoid the police's grasp once more. Bansi Lal, the wounded police officer, is now in the hospital, and a thorough manhunt has been launched to apprehend the fugitive offender.
