UK PM Rishi Sunak sacks Home Secretary Suella Braverman

NOV 13, 2023 : According to Reuters, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak fired his home secretary Suella Braverman for her scathing criticism of Police in the midst of the country's ongoing pro-Palestine demonstrations. After her Times UK article criticising the Metropolitan Police for allegedly softening their stance against radical elements at pro-Palestine rallies, Sunak faced pressure to fire Braverman. In an opinion piece published ahead of a pro-Palestinian march on Saturday, the UK Home Secretary allegedly accused the police of using a "double standard" when it came to rallies, especially pro-Palestinian marches, according to Reuters. A strong candidate for the leadership of the Conservative Party in the future, Braverman had repeatedly criticised the tens of thousands of protestors that have gathered in London in the wake of Hamas's attack on Israel last month.Braverman has called the rallies "mobs" and "hate marches". According to Reuters, Braverman has a history of making contentious remarks for the police or national security. Braverman sent a warning to police chiefs on October 10 for flying Palestinian flags in UK streets. According to an Anadolu Agency report, she said that raising the flag "may not be legitimate" if it is seen as endorsing terrorism. Suella Braverman went so far as to give instances of protest behaviours that she thought might be construed as breaches of public order, such as swarming Jewish neighbourhoods, brandishing signs endorsing Hamas or Palestine, and yelling potentially offensive anti-Israeli phrases.Pro-Palestinian demonstrators in their thousands have marched in London and other UK cities, demanding an end to Israel's attacks on Hamas. Notably, on October 7, after Hamas attacked Israel, the latter launched a counteroffensive against Israel. One of the biggest pro-Palestine marches in London since the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict took place on November 11. Marching from Marble Arch in Hyde Park through the capital, thousands of demonstrators marched down Vauxhall Bridge Road, over the River Thames, and to the US Embassy on Nine Elms Lane. The protest was against US President Joe Biden's steadfast backing of the Israeli military's ground operation in Gaza in reaction to the October 7 Hamas attacks, which resulted in the deaths of 1,400 Israelis and the kidnapping of 200 others. According to Israel's Channel 12, there were antisemitic banners, anti-Jewish chants, and pro-Hamas slogans during the demonstration. “Main to Baniya hun, pura hisaab lekar aaya hun”: Amit Shah targets Congress in MP

MADHYA PRADESH: In Madhya Pradesh, which is set to hold elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a vicious attack on the INDIA bloc and the Congress, claiming that the latter was unable to provide any guarantees. Speaking at a rally in Vidisha, Amit Shah declared, "The MP cannot benefit from these INDI Alliance and Congress people." Congress has currently provided five guarantees. What guarantee will people give who do not have their own guarantee, I would like to ask? In the past nine years, Modi ji has fulfilled his promises. I would like to know from Kamal Nath how much money the Sonia Gandhi-Manmohan Singh government gave to the MP over the course of the UPA's ten years in power at the Centre? They gave MP Rs 2 lakh crore from 2004 to 2014; in nine years, Modi ji increased it to Rs 6 lakh 35 thousand crore. In addition, Rs 5 lakh crore were allocated for various schemes." "I am a trader; I have brought all the accounts (Main to Baniya hun pura hisaab lekar aaya hun)," he continued. Additionally, Home Minister Amit Shah declared that more central government schemes for the state would be implemented if his party were to form the government in MP. "Poverty welfare is a topic of discussion in Congress. They only got rid of the poor; they didn't eradicate poverty. In nine years, Modi ji has accomplished a lot for the underprivileged. Just in MP, 93 lakh farmers receive Rs 6000 in their accounts annually. We will raise the price from Rs 6000 to Rs 12000 if our government forms. 65 lakh impoverished people have access to tap water in their homes. Under Ayushman Bharat, about 3 crore 70 lakh people receive free medical care up to Rs 5 lakh. The free treatment that was previously worth Rs 5 lakh will now be worth Rs 10 lakh if our government is formed, according to Amit Shah. Amit Shah praised Prime Minister Modi and noted that in just nine years, the nation's economy—which was ranked eleventh—has improved to the fifth rank. "With the Delhi Declaration, Modi ji raised the profile of Indian diplomacy internationally and gathered world leaders to this platform. By granting women a 33 percent reservation in the House, Modi ji has demonstrated his respect for women. The task of hanging the Ram temple issue was completed by Congress. Rahul Baba used to predict the location of the temple's construction but never disclosed the exact date. January 22, 2024 is the date," Amit Shah stated. Young India fed up with Modi govt’s betrayal: Congress

NEW DELHI: The Modi administration and the BJP, according to the Congress, are shattering the hopes and dreams of the younger generation in India. "Young India is fed up with Modi Government's rank betrayal," said Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, citing a recent Telangana incident in which a young woman climbed an electricity pole and attempted to deliver something to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a rally. When Prime Minister Modi saw the young woman climbing a structure with lights fixed on it, he had to stop talking during the rally last week.He kept asking the girl to come down, saying that the state of the electric wires didn't seem to be good. "Beta, I will listen to you," Modi said in Hindi as she was attempting to explain something to him. Kindly descend and take a seat. It could blow a short. This isn't accurate. I came to get you all. Doing such things is pointless." Kharge accused young Indians of wanting jobs in a post on X, but in exchange they received a 45-year-high unemployment rate. "They wanted economic empowerment, but in return the BJP gave a backbreaking Price Rise, which has reduced their savings to a 47-year low," he stated. “Countdown to exit of Congress from Chhattisgarh has begun”: PM Modi

CHHATTISGARH: Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on Monday that the Congress government's demise in Chhattisgarh is "confirmed" following the first round of elections, thereby initiating the countdown to its departure. Speaking at an election rally in Mungeli, poll-bound Chhattisgarh, ahead of the second phase of voting on November 17, Prime Minister Modi declared that the misbehaviour of the Congress party was coming to an end. "The "bidai" countdown for the Congress has now started. It's time to bid those Congress who have been plundering you for the past five years farewell. The state's public is more excited about the 'bidai' that the state will send to Congress.Congress is no longer wanted by the people," the prime minister declared. The chief minister of Chattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel, came under heavy fire from the prime minister, who accused him of widespread corruption. "A two and a half year term agreement for the Chief Minister's position was in place when the Chhattisgarh Congress government was established. However, during the first 2.5 years, the Chief Minister committed so many crimes and stole so much that he amassed a sizable sum of money through theft." In the event that the BJP government takes back control of the state, he promised action against the corrupt. "I've been informed by the media that the chief minister of Chhattisgarh is losing his assembly seat. After the BJP wins the state of Chhattisgarh, PM Modi promised to take action against corruption there. The Congress was also charged by the prime minister with having a direct hand in the Mahadev betting app controversy. "I have a few inquiries for the leaders of Congress who enjoy instructing in mathematics...I have a few inquiries regarding the celebration. The value of the "Mahadev betting app scam" is Rs 508 crore, and the investigating authorities have retrieved a substantial amount of money in this instance. In jail is also the chief minister of Chhattisgarh's close aide. Congress ought to make public the amount of money the CM was paid for this.How much money has reached Delhi and how much has been received by the other party leaders," Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated. In addition, PM Modi expressed gratitude to the people of Chhattisgarh for supporting the BJP during the first round of the Assembly elections. "It is evident from phase 1 of the Assembly polls that Chhattisgarh's Congress rule will come to an end. He said, "I express my gratitude to the people of Chhattisgarh for supporting the BJP in the first phase of the Assembly elections." The prime minister predicted that if the BJP regains control of the state, Chhattisgarh would see a sharp increase in development. "The young people's dreams will come true. The Mahtari sisters' lives will get easier in this place. Strict measures will be taken to combat corruption in order to control it, the prime minister declared. This month, there will be elections in five states, including Chhattisgarh. Voting in Chhattisgarh is being conducted in two stages. The first phase, involving 20 seats, will end on November 7. Elections in the remaining 70 seats are scheduled for November 17. On December 3, the votes will be tallied. [caption id="attachment_5493" align="alignnone" width="300"] "Countdown to…
