ITBP jawan from Samba martyred in IED blast at Chattisgarh

SAMBA : When word spread that a jawan from the village of Joginder Singh, in the Indian Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), had become a martyr in the Naxalite attack in Chattisgarh, a pall of doom fell over Abtal Katlan, a village close to Samba. The entire family was shocked to learn that Joginder Singh, a brave and promising soldier, had lost his life in an IED blast planted by Naxalites in the Bade Gobra area of the Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh shortly after receiving the message from ITBP Headquarters. We saw the family members crying and lamenting. After learning the news, the entire village was in rude shock and was at a loss for words when it came to consoling the family. Dilip Singh's son, Martyr Joginder Singh, was a courageous and well-behaved soldier.While on duty, he accompanied an ITBP party to pave the way for the polling party to return from Bade Gobra in the Chhatisgarh district of Gariaband. When a soldier manning the polling place stepped on an IED that the naxalites had planted, an explosion happened. Unaware that the Naxalites had planted an IED to destroy the Road Opening Party, the ITBP jawan headed out to retrieve the polling party, only to discover that fate had other plans for him and his comrades. In addition to his ageing parents, Martyr leaves behind his spouse, a nine-year-old son, an older brother, two younger brothers, and a sister. He came from a courageous family—his older brother had also retired from the Army, and his father, Dilip Singh, had also served as a Subedar. While one of his brothers works for the BSF, the other is also serving in the ITBP. “One day the Aam Aadmi Party will rule the country”: Kejriwal

NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated here on Friday that the Aam Aadmi Party is the "fastest growing party in the world" and that it will "rule the country, leaving behind the BJP and Congress." The AAP convenor went on to say that the party "should be featured in the Guinness Book of World Records." "All the workers and office-bearers (of AAP) who have come here, I want to congratulate you on being part of the fastest growing party in the world," he said, addressing the AAP's "Karyakarta Sammelan." No party has ever advanced so quickly in the history of the entire globe. I believe we ought to request a feature in the Guinness Book of World Records."Within a year of the AAP's formation ten years ago, he claimed, the party formed its government in Delhi with a resounding majority and went on to win in the neighbouring state of Punjab last year. Then, with 14% of the vote, we won 5 seats in Gujarat. "I have no doubt that the Aam Aadmi Party will form the next Gujarati government," Kejriwal declared. We now hold the status of a national party as well. Among the 1350 political parties that are officially registered, we rank third nationwide. In his speech to party employees, Kejriwal stated, "And at the pace we are growing, my heart says that one day the Aam Aadmi Party will rule the country, leaving behind BJP and Congress." Attacking the BJP for actions taken by the central agencies against his party and associates, the national convenor of the AAP asserted that "PM Modi wants to form government in Delhi." "It is only natural that there would be large-scale conspiracies against AAP given its rapid growth. The BJP and PM Modi realised they would not be able to defeat the AAP in Delhi. Therefore, the BJP created a conspiracy—a liquor policy hoax. Many people have died in Gujarat as a result of an actual alcohol scam, he claimed. The chief minister of Delhi, who has eschewed an ED summons in relation to the excise policy scandal, claimed that senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh had been arrested in a "fake case." They intend to arrest me in order to overthrow the AAP government and PM Modi's desire to form a government in Delhi. They know they cannot defeat us through elections. Our leaders Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Satyender Jain, and Vijay Nair were arrested in a fabricated case, and now they are going to arrest me as well. "I want to let them know that the AAP will triumph from prison, even if they throw me in," Kejriwal continued. On October 4, AAP MP Sanjay Singh was taken into custody following a full day of interrogation at his Delhi home by ED officials. Manish Sisodia, a former deputy chief minister of Delhi, is allegedly also embroiled in the same liquor policy scandal. He is presently being held in connection with the same at the jail. The CBI initially detained the former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Excise Minister on February 26 due to his suspected involvement in the scam. Earlier this month, Kejriwal disregarded the summons from the Enforcement Directorate in favour of attending a roadshow in Madhya Pradesh, the state where today's assembly elections were taking place. The Chief Minister of Delhi had demanded that the ED revoke its "vague and motivated" notice, which had been sent to him for questioning, on the grounds that it was "illegal and politically motivated."
