Connect with fellow Hindus and world; conquer hearts : Bhagwat

NOV 24, 2023 : The world, which is failing miserably due to experiments with materialism, communism, and capitalism, will see India as the model of happiness and contentment, according to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, who made this statement on Friday. Speaking at the opening of the third World Hindu Congress (WHC) in this capital of Thailand, Bhagwat urged Hindus everywhere to connect with the world and to reach out to one another. "We need to make an effort to interact with every Hindu. And Hindus as a group will unite people everywhere. Speaking to a group of international intellectuals, activists, leaders, and businesspeople, he stated, "As the number of Hindus increases, so too has the process of connecting with the world begun.He claimed that everyone in the world has realized—especially since the Covid pandemic—that India holds the key to happiness and contentment. After experimenting with materialism, communism, and capitalism in the pursuit of happiness, Bhagwat claimed that the world was now faltering and was moving towards Hinduism. "The world is currently in disarray. They have conducted countless experiments to promote joy, contentment, and peace for the past 2,000 years. They've experimented with capitalism, communism, and materialism. They've experimented with several faiths. They have taken for granted material wealth. But there's no sense of fulfilment," he stated. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, they have begun to reconsider. They all appear to believe that Bharat will pave the way, according to Bhagwat."We must reach out to everyone, establish a connection with them, and use our services to draw them to us. That spirit is present in us. When it comes to unselfish service, we have the upper hand over everyone else. It is a part of our values and tradition. Thus, he advised, "reach out and conquer nothing but hearts." Participants in the three-day conference will have the chance to talk about issues that Hindus face globally. As per Bhagwat, Hindus are essential in promoting the idea that the world is a single family, which is embodied by Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. "We must come together, remain together, and collaborate in order for that to be fulfilled. Although nobody will fit into a specific uniform, we should be able to bring everyone together," he remarked. "Everyone must contribute in some way to the world. We acknowledge their specificity as well. Everybody is respected by us. Our forefathers understood this, but we have since lost this skill, allowed ourselves to be divided, and eventually subjugated. Now is the time for us to unite," Bhagwat stated. He made a compelling case for why selfless service can win people over and break society or an organisation, claiming that hate speech, anger, jealousy, and ego prevent people from coming together.Swami Vigyanananda, the founder and global chairman of the World Hindu Foundation, blew the conch to start the quadrennial event, which lasted three days and drew representatives from more than 60 nations. Spiritual guide Mata Amritanandmayi Devi, general secretary of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Milind Parande, chair of the WHC organising committee, Swami Purnatmanand, working president of the Bharat Sevashram Sangh, and publisher of Hinduism Today-USA, Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami are a few of the people mentioned. Governors Cannot Keep Bills Pending Indefinitely Without Any Action: SC

NEW DELHI, Nov 24:  The Supreme Court has ruled that while the unelected Head of State is vested with constitutional powers, those powers cannot be used to obstruct state legislatures' normal legislative process. Specifically, the court stressed that governors cannot be allowed to hold bills for an indefinite period of time without taking any action. A bench made up of Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud, Justice J B Pardiwala, and Justice Manoj Misra noted that unrestricted discretion granted to the Governor would "virtually veto the functioning of the legislative domain by a duly elected legislature" and that such a course of action would be contrary to fundamental principles of a constitutional democracy based on a Parliamentary pattern of governance. “The Governor, as an unelected Head of the State, is entrusted with certain constitutional powers. However, this power cannot be used to thwart the normal course of lawmaking by…
