4 New Industrial Estates To Come Up Across 3 Districts Of J&K

JAMMU, Nov 25: The administrative approval for the establishment of four new Industrial Estates in J&K was granted by the Administrative Council (AC), which convened under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, the Lieutenant Governor's principal secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, the chief secretary, and advisor Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar. Among them are the industrial estates that will be developed over 1379 kanals of land with an investment of Rs 136.65 crores at Budhi Kathua, Medicity Jammu, Chandgam, and Lelhar Pulwama. In addition to drawing in investment, the projects will increase employment in the community and are anticipated to create over 11497 jobs in the private sector.The infrastructure of the new industrial estates will be carefully planned, including internal road construction, electricity availability, a centralised water distribution system, rainwater collection, roadside vegetation, and plantations. Additionally, the development will entail the construction of other facilities using cutting-edge modern technology as well as Centralised Effluent Treatment plants set up on new patterns in accordance with National Green Tribunal regulations. Project completion deadlines are set at eighteen months. The creation of new industrial estates is consistent with the government's pledge to support entrepreneurship and industrial development in J&K.
