Since all of the players on the Indian women's ice hockey team are Ladakhi, the tableau with the theme "Empowering Women through Employment in Ladakh's Journey" was selected. The trailer's foreground included a Ladakhi village, symbolising the region's dedication to improving living conditions by offering sustainable resources, energy, and education. And showed houses with solar panels, a symbol of the area's forward-thinking projects, with kids studying in the bright light. The last scene included a Ladakhi mountaintop, emphasising that Umling-La pass holds the title of being the highest motorable road in the world. There are also solar-powered LED street lights, wanderers caring for goats, and expert pashmina weavers. “There existed large Hindu Temple…”: Hindu side lawyer cites ASI report on Gyanvapi complex survey

VARANASI: Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, the counsel for the Hindu side, stated that the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has made a "conclusive finding" and stated that there existed a large Hindu Temple prior to construction of the existing structure, a day after the Varanasi district court ruled that the ASI survey report on the Gyanvapi mosque complex will be given to litigants on both sides. According to the ASI, a sizable Hindu temple predated the building of the current building. This is the ASI's definitive conclusion, Vishnu Shankar Jain told the local media. He noted that according to the ASI, several inscriptions on both the pre-existing and present structure were discovered during the survey. "The current survey resulted in the recording of 34 inscriptions and the taking of 32 stamped pages. In actuality, these are inscriptions that were previously present on a Hindu temple's stone that were utilised again throughout the building and restoration of the current building. They have inscriptions written in Telugu, Kannada, Grantha, and Devanagari scripts. The repurposing of older inscriptions within the structure implies that the previous structures were demolished and their components were used for the building and restoration of the current structure. These inscriptions contain three names of deities, including Janardana, Rudra, and Umeshwara," the counsel stated. Vishnu Shankar Jain provided further information, stating that the ASI has stated that the pillars and plasters utilised in the current building were examined methodically and scientifically in order to build Sahan and expand the mosque. "Plasters and pillars from earlier temples were repurposed with minimal alterations. A close examination of the plasters and pillars in the corridors reveals that they were originally a part of an earlier Hindu temple, which was dismantled to make room for them in the current building. The Vyala figures that were carved on either side of the lotus medallion were also dismantled, and floral patterns were added to the area once the corners' stone mass was removed. Two comparable plasters that are still in their original locations on the north and south walls of the western chamber attest to this observation. "In response to a court's directive, the ASI surveyed the Gyanvapi grounds to ascertain whether the mosque was built over an earlier Hindu temple structure. Last month, the ASI sent its survey results in a sealed cover to the district court. Devised responses to all contingencies for ensuring peaceful Republic Day: DGP

JAMMU: Director General of Police R R Swain said on Thursday that despite Jammu and Kashmir having a multi-tier security arrangement, the forces have prepared for every eventuality to guarantee a peaceful Republic Day celebration. Officials stated that the army and BSF troops have enhanced monitoring along the India-Pakistan border, and that police and paramilitary personnel have been placed on high alert throughout the region, especially along the roads, at railway stations, bus stands, and critical infrastructure. "We have addressed every potential threat as well as security. We have also prepared answers for every scenario. We will celebrate this day in peace, we are certain of it," Swain told local reporters. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will speak at a gathering at Jammu's M A Stadium on Friday, Republic Day. Additionally, according to Swain, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has won the most gallantry awards. "It is a matter of great pride and joy that police personnel from J&K have been bestowed with 72 gallantry medals on the eve of Republic Day celebrations," Swain told the press. "The J&K Police has once again distinguished itself by competing with other police forces to safeguard the safety of our citizens and defend the homeland. I commend all officers, men, and recipients of awards," he continued. Swain acknowledged the difficulties the agency is facing and stated that the J&K Police had lost more than 1,600 officers—more than any other security force in the area, including the central armed forces. "This is a benchmark of our commitment to national security efforts," he stated.
