Police Attaches Property Of Drug Peddler Under NDPS Act In Kulgam

SRINAGAR, Jan 30: In the Kulgam area of Jammu and Kashmir, police on Tuesday used the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act to seize the belongings of a well-known drug dealer. According to police, Section 68-F (2) of the NDPS Act 1985 applied to an under-construction home on land Shamilat (4) bearing survey No. 220 belonging to a well-known drug dealer identified as Aijaz Ahmad Ganie, a resident of Gadihama, Kulgam. It was discovered during the Kulgam Police's investigation and inquiry that the property had been obtained illegally.The owner initially obtained the property through the illegal trafficking of psychotropic and narcotic narcotics. Indian navy warship rescues 19 Pakistani nationals, fishing vessel hijacked by Somali pirates

NEW DELHI: The Indian Navy announced in an official statement that on Monday, the warship INS Sumitra of the Indian Navy successfully rescued 19 Pakistani nationals after foiling a plot to steal the Iranian-flagged fishing vessel Al Naeemi, which was cruising off the East Coast of Somalia. Following the rescue of another Iranian-flagged fishing vessel, FV Iman, from Somali pirates on Monday during anti-piracy operations along the east coast of Somalia and the Gulf of Aden, an official statement said that this is the Indian Navy's second rescue operation in as many days. FV Iman had 17 crew members on board. The Indian Navy said that the cruiser INS Sumitra saved the hostages of 19 Pakistani nationals on board the fishing vessel after it was intercepted by pirates and action was taken to locate the stricken vessel. The warship achieved the successful release of all 19 crew members and the boat by acting in accordance with the set SOPs to persuade the pirates for the crew's safe release. The ship then carried out confirmatory boarding in order to clean up and ensure the crew members who were being taken captive by the Somali pirates were safe. "INS Sumitra, over the course of less than 36 hours, through swift, persistent and relentless efforts has rescued two hijacked Fishing Vessels along with 36 Crew (17 Iranian and 19 Pakistani) in Southern Arabian Sea approximately 850 nm West of Kochi, and prevented misuse of these Fishing Vessels as Mother Ships for further acts of Piracy on Merchant Vessels," the Navy said in a statement. JKDMA Issues Avalanche Warning In 2 Districts Of Kashmir In Next 24 Hrs

SRINAGAR, Jan 29: For the next 24 hours, authorities in the upper regions of two districts in the Kashmir Valley have issued an avalanche warning classified as "low danger." A "low danger" category avalanche is predicted to happen in the next 24 hours at elevations of 2600 and 2800 metres above sea level in the upper portions of Kupwara and Ganderbal districts, according to a report released on Monday by the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA). It has been recommended to the residents of these locations to exercise caution and stay away from avalanche-prone areas until further orders. On Monday, there was mild to moderate snowfall in the upper regions of the Kashmir valley, including the districts of Kupwara and Ganderbal. JKP committed to safety of people, says DGP Swain

JAMMU: Under the direction of Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have reiterated their dedication to public safety. At the Gulshan Ground in Jammu, DGP Swain gave the opening speech at a road safety awareness rally. He emphasised the joint efforts of the Transport Department, J&K Police, Jammu Three Sixty, and the District Administration to promote road safety. Speaking to attendees, police officers, and staff, DGP Swain praised the organisers for their effort, which immediately improves road user safety, particularly for drivers. He was also grateful to the public for their support of these projects, which served the community's interests more broadly. The top police officer emphasised the tragic circumstances in which people are left disabled and the preventable deaths that occur in traffic accidents. He emphasised that in order to solve this problem, several parties must work together. DGP Swain pledged sustained efforts, saying the J&K Police will examine accident causes in conjunction with other stakeholders, including the license-issuing body. He stated, "Regulatory changes will be implemented where necessary to enhance road safety," and he was certain that things would get better with honesty and good intentions.
