JAMMU, Nov 3: The government of Jammu and Kashmir prohibited its workers from taking part in protests or strikes in support of their demands on Friday. They also issued a warning that any employee discovered to be involved in such activities will face severe consequences. It has been reported, per an order, that certain employees are using strikes and protests to push for their goals.In reference to any issue concerning his or any other government employee's service, the government has invoked Rule 20(ii) of the Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees (Conduct) Rules, 1971. This rule prohibits government employees from participating in or aiding and abetting any form of strike. NEW DELHI: Resuming the 'Red light on, Gaadi off' campaign, deploying anti-smog guns, and invoking stage III of the pollution management plan are among the actions taken by the Delhi government and other agencies after the city's air quality fell into the'severe' category, according to officials. A government official in Delhi claims that the national capital has adopted the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) stage 3, which completely prohibits any kind of building or demolition. On Thursday, the Centre's pollution control body called for the GRAP III to be implemented, stopping all non-essential building, mining, and stone crushing in Delhi-NCR. In Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Budh Nagar, there are further limitations on the operation of four-wheelers classified as BS III petrol and BS IV diesel during this phase.Anti-smog guns have been stationed at several locations, including Anand Vihar, Kashmiri Gate ISBT, ITO, Pusa Road, Jahangirpuri, Narela Industrial area, and Burari Crossing, by the Delhi administration, which has intensified efforts to combat the pollution crisis, according to officials. "The process of sprinkling water is underway in the national capital in view of the pollution in the city," a Public Works Department (PWD) official stated. Gopal Rai, the environment minister, had previously announced that 2,500 civil defence volunteers would be sent out to oversee the campaign's execution at 100 strategically important traffic crossings. Delhi's air quality, with an AQI of 315 till Thursday morning, was still classified as "very poor," and by the evening it had dropped to 418. It became worse on Friday morning, with the AQI rising to 450.GRAP divides actions into four stages: 'Very Poor' (AQI 301–400), 'Poor' (AQI 201-300), 'Severe' (AQI 401–450), and 'Severe Plus' (AQI beyond 450) are the stages into which actions fall. According to officials, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has set up Rs 20 lakh for each zone to implement air pollution control measures. They said that the MCD is concentrating its efforts on using labour and equipment to remove trash from train tracks. According to an MCD spokesman, the organisation plans to buy dust suppressants, which will be sprayed during non-peak hours at least every other day using water sprinklers and anti-smog guns. YouTuber Elvish Yadav denies charge after FIR filed against him for allegedly supplying snake venom at rave party

NOIDA : YouTuber Elvish Yadav has refuted reports that he supplied snake venom at a Noida rave. This comes after the YouTuber was accused of delivering the venom in a formal complaint against six individuals. In an Instagram video, Elvish Yadav asserted that all of the accusations made against him are untrue. "When I woke up, the media was reporting on my suspected arrest. These accusations made against me are entirely untrue and fraudulent. They are 1% true, at most. I'm ready to assist the UP Police. I kindly ask the UP Government and CM Yogi Adityanath to accept complete responsibility for me, even if I had a 0.1% participation in this.I ask that the media refrain from disseminating false information until that time, as I am unrelated to this. The Uttar Pradesh forest department and Noida police busted the group for allegedly providing snake venom at a rave party during a combined raid at Sector 51 Saffron Villa in Noida earlier. According to Uttar Pradesh police, "An FIR has been filed at Noida Sector 49 Police Station against six individuals, including Bigg Boss winner and YouTuber Elvish Yadav, for selling snake venom at rave parties." NOIDA: According to sources on Friday, the Noida Police has not only booked Bigg Boss winner Elvish Yadav in the case but also detained five individuals for allegedly using snake venom at a rave party. The arrestees had set a trap, set by the animal rights organisation People for Animals (PFA), at a banquet hall in Sector 51 on Thursday night for a party. Nine snakes were also freed from their custody, according to the officials. An FIR was filed for criminal conspiracy and under the Wildlife (Protection) Act after Yadav and six other individuals were accused by PFA of partying at a banquet facility in Sector 51 where snake venom was provided, according to police.According to a police spokesperson, "nine snakes were rescued from their possession and five people were arrested from the banquet hall." The people detained have been identified as Rahul (32), Teetunath (45), Jaikaran (50), Narayan (50), and Ravinath (45), all of whom live in the village of Moharband in the Badarpur neighbourhood of southeast Delhi, according to police. Complainant Gaurav Gupta of the PFA, which is led by BJP lawmaker Maneka Gandhi, stated in the FIR that his organisation learned that Yadav, a YouTuber, used to host illegal rave parties and film live snakes and snake venom in Noida and other parts of the National Capital Region (NCR) with his friends. NEW DELHI, Nov 3: India's Chief Justice, D Y Chandrachud, asked attorneys not to ask for postponements in new cases on Friday, stating that he does not want the Supreme Court to become into a "tareekh-pe-tareekh" court. The CJI brought up the problem of attorneys requesting adjournments in new cases at the beginning of the day's hearings, stating that in the previous two months, advocates had submitted postponement slips in 3,688 cases. "If not absolutely essential, kindly do not file the adjournment slips.The Chief Justice of India, who shared the bench with Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, declared, "I don't want this court to be a 'tareekh-pe-tareekh' court."In the well-known dialogue "Tareekh-pe-Tareekh" (repeated adjournments) from the Bollywood film "Damini," Sunny Deol bemoaned the practise of judicial adjournments. According to the CJI, the time interval between the filing of new matters at the top court and their listing has been greatly shortened thanks to the support of lawyers' associations. But he regretted that after being listed before the benches, attorneys request adjournments, sending a very negative message to the outside world. "I've seen that the time between filing and listing is getting shorter. Without the assistance of the Supreme Court Advocates-on Record Association (SCAORA) and the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), we would not have been able to do this, the Chief Justice stated.We have 178 adjournment slips for November 3. The CJI stated, "This defeats the very purpose of expediting the case. Since October, there have been 150 adjournment slips for each miscellaneous day, and from September to October, 3,688 adjournment slips were circulated." Delhi wakes up to dense haze as air quality turns ‘severe’ at many locations

NEW DELHI: According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality in a number of Delhi neighbourhoods fell into the "severe" category on Friday morning, with Mundka having the highest Air Quality Index (498). The national capital's skyline was shrouded in a thick cloud as the air quality declined. The AQI was reported at 438 in the Lodhi Road area, 491 in Jahangirpuri, 486 in the RK Puram region, and 473 in IGI Airport (T3), according to the CPCB. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is a technique for effectively and understandably communicating to the public the state of the air quality. It reduces complex data on the quality of the air caused by different pollutants to a single number (the index value), colour, and nomenclature.When the AQI is between 0 and 100, it is considered good; when it is between 100 and 200, it is considered moderate; when it is between 200 and 300, it is considered poor; when it is between 300 and 400, it is said to be very poor; and when it is between 400 and 500 or more, it is said to be severe; this has an influence on both healthy people and those who already have disorders. Additionally, the AQI dropped to the "severe" category at several different Noida locales, with Sectors 62, 1 and 116 recording 483, 413 and 415, respectively. On Thursday, the government of Delhi issued an order closing all public and private elementary schools for the next two days. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) activated the third phase of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) on Thursday due to the deteriorating quality of the air. When the AQI falls between 401 and 450 points and reaches Severe, the GRAP moves into Stage III. The state government may impose severe limitations on BS III petrol and BS IV diesel four-wheelers in specific locations as part of its reaction to combat pollution. It may also stop in-person instruction for students in primary grades up to Class 5. Since then, primary school lessons have been suspended by the Delhi government.The subcommittee examined the regional air quality scenario in addition to the IMD and IITM projections for the weather and air quality index. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) released an official statement stating that the Delhi government has prohibited construction work throughout the National Capital Region (NCR). The announcement went on to say that exceptions had been granted for projects pertaining to interstate bus terminals, airports, metro services, railway services, defense-related operations, healthcare-related activities, etc.The official statement also stated that the government will guarantee daily watering and dust suppressant application, as well as increase the frequency of automated road sweeping. Drilling and boring as well as other earthmoving operations related to excavation and filling will not be permitted.
